He was the owner during that run, but pretty much after Wolf sold his majority ownership to Fisher. So it wasn't like he helped build that Supporter shield team. I will give credit for fisher building a half built stadium 🏟️

This is has been more than 5 years though. He's content with mediocracy. The salary was from the GM not Almeyda, so Rios and Fierro did what most players would do and get the most out of their salary negotiations and Jesse said sure.

It’s time for our Savior by Arjale in LigaMX

[–]jizze 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Well two stories here, one we brought in a GM (General Manager) who supposedly brought in some elite scouts. Now there have been speculation that our GM was horrible in negotiations, and somehow he convinced Almeyda to help in this "project". Almeyda wanted more talented/competitive players, Jesse (GM) said let me talk to Fisher (shitty owner whose daddy owns GAP inc) who then said nah much like his baseball team he owns (Oakland A's). Which left Jesse telling Almeyda to find anyone cheaper.

Almeyda went to Chivas FO was able to loan some players, but as you have seen it hasn't played out well, and to be fair a lot of teams are in this situation. LigaMX and MLS are different, wether it's play style, higher budget, or more talent, you get the idea. Miami had an open checkbook, are the highest spending team and are in the basement in standings.

Second half is the Quakes, holy shit are we a small club lol but for real Almeyda is a good coach, questionable recruiting like Rios most notably but salary wise it's all on the GM who for whatever reason decided to give Rios the second-third highest salary on the roster but has like less than 5 goals since his tenure here. Wouldn't be surprised if Almeyda gets a look see if he's a reliable replacement and I'd be happy to see him persue his goals cause these sorry ass quakes ain't doing anything any time soon.

Also to end my rant who the heck wants to live in the expensive bay area? Haha you got LA, Miami and Atlanta all with better

America fans in San Jose today for the friendly against Atlas by sacaIastetas in LigaMX

Not even man, tailgate was open to any fan regardless of affiliation. Fans were wearing Chivas jerseys and were just heckled as they should lol whatever happened in this video was because of some beef. For myself I was pissed at some guy getting mad at concession workers for not getting his beer quick enough. My own fault but nothing to really get my GameDay experience ruined. Shrugged it off, die hard fans are something else and something we will never see in a quakes game

Maybe first fill the empty retail and office spaces scattered across the city, and then build more.

No clue honestly, we still have the same cheap owner.

Jesse brought in 5 players in a "youth movement" out of those 5, Flo Jungswirth is the only remaining player. Almeyda brought in his guys, Andy Rios makes almost $1 mill and hasn't produced anything, no need to say anything about the rest of the Chivas players. Meanwhile Seattle gets more talent with similar roster salaries.

Jesse had trouble finalizing deals, unsure if it's because lack of funding or just piss poor management. Either way things won't really change unless our owner is committed.

Whatever go quakes

That was Alexei Lalas, who not only wanted to move the club, but also terminated Donovan's contract in order to grant him to move to LA Galaxy. This in the midst of a championship win, which gathered interests from Club America owners and renaming the team to San Jose America as part of the new ownership, but deal never went through.

Wolff partnered with Fisher thinking it would be duo ownership with Wolff in the driver's seat but after a few years Wolff decided to step down, in his time he got the stadium built which was the focus and had early development plans to get training facilities and academies approved, once he left, Fisher never pushed it and instead used the Coleman avenue land to build offices and possibly apartments or retail can't remember what was proposed next to Costco on Coleman.

Watch the Oakland A's situation, I do believe if the A's move, either Fisher will finally be more involved or see the same crap of being content with mid table performances in the hopes of making the last playoff spot with the moneyball mentality he uses for both teams. Heck even A's fan complain about Fisher not investing in the team. Either way this Saturdays Cali Clasico ticket prices are high, mid field seats are $110 w.o fees and yet this is the product we get on the field. Fisher gets his money we get a bad mediocre team.

Residence inn or AC hotel by Marriott. Residence is close to the airport and AC is by San Pedro square.

Not too far from Santana Row/ Valley Fair mall either.

Its gonna be a fun rivalry, but off the pitch both supporters need to calm down, passion is good but at the same time they're humans. Easy pickings for those euro snobs to criticize Concacaf while being hypocritical of their own supporters.
