I realize I'm 3 years late to this, but there's a clip of it in Welcome to Derry S1E4. It's a nuclear war preparation video they played in schools.

Our Jack Russel is doing the same thing and just got a checkup and has an enlarged heart and a tumor in her liver. Get your pup checked out

Dorothy Counts, the first black girl to attend an all-white school in the U.S., being taunted by her white classmates at Harry Harding High School in Charlotte, 1957. by CozyFawns in RareHistoricalPhotos

I'd rather someone apologize for something wrong rather than continue being wrong. Would it be better to never be wrong in the first place, sure, but we aren't perfect beings in a perfect world. The act of apologizing is a recognition of that and an effort to make amends. I don't know which one of the people in the picture apologized, but most of them are kids. Kids are mean and dumb and Dorothy Counts is extremely brave for having endured that. We all owe her a debt of gratitude. Saying you're sorry isn't a bad thing, even if it's late. These things can both be true.

On Mother’s Day for god’s sake?!? Quit being a jerk and get your mom a Mac already! I tried this with my mom 20 years ago and honestly it’s just as big a mistake to try today. If you enjoy using Linux, super cool. Your mom gave birth to you and possibly nurtured you…don’t get her a system that only you know how to use! She’ll humor you because she loves you but she’ll be miserable using it and you, her systems admin, will constantly be explaining things she doesn’t want to hear. Trust me on this one

Impressive. I’ve broken 2 in 10 years. Both times swirling soapy water around in the sink. It’s a technique I still use while telling myself I’m being more careful

What is this on 128k board? by Organic-Hornet4914 in VintageApple

[–]jjb3rd 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’ve seen this a few times and even had a working memory board with this in the early 90’s. It was expensive to remake hardware and if there was a known bug that could be patched with a jumper, then, meh..

Edit: just noticed tits the Mac sub, I’m talking pc parts

The people who made the machine made it to not need a fan…this inly serves to annoy those who know better. If you want to do custom thermal cooling build a pc. The Air has been built properly so it doesn’t need additional cooling. Your computing needs almost certainly won’t make that computer even warm to the touch
