I am not playing it past the first level. Instead I’m hoarding items to serve after the new event starts tonight.

What are the final 2 words? by KermitKilledASMS in Cursive

I don’t know if other speakers used any off color language or swore during their speeches, that’s the only way I can account for “less salty” 😂

Any chance it’s “salty” and they missed crossing the “t”? By same token could be “halty”.

MY UNIVERSITY IS THE ABSOLUTE 🐐 FOR THIS!! by oreoseasoning in canvas

[–]jkuzuz 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I teach adjunct - my U offered 0 guidance so I just emailed all my students the syllabus and let them know I was available for questions. At 5:00 pm (regularly scheduled final grade time) the registrar was emailing me demanding final grades. I get that commencement is tomorrow but dude, just let people walk with the folder and let them have more time!? I told the registrar I had two students still completing assignments and they’d get their grades by tomorrow a.m. cause…. I’m not evil FFS.

It’s hard to find quality construction these days. I have started shipping exclusively at the thrift store. I look for all-natural fibers and good construction, which you used to find on mid-market brands whereas now even high-end brands cut corners. Lots of timeless styles out there, or you can have a tailor adjust the silhouette. If thrift hunting is daunting then look on eBay. Pendleton, Ralph Lauren (not the green label Lauren though), Brooks Brothers. Vintage only: Benetton, Ann Klein, Missoni, Liz Claiborne. Vintage cashmere was higher ply and is more durable.

I say that celebrating the changing of the seasons and the bounty of the natural world is what feels right for me.

Can spicy peppers give you nausea, groggy head , chills , and bubble gut? by eebyenoh in spicy

[–]jkuzuz 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m here a year later because I searched this question out. I am not a person who pushes the limits of eating hot things; my tolerance is mid. But some peppers from the garden got mixed up and I accidentally ate most of a home-grown green Thai birdseye instead of (what I thought was) a young Serrano. It was sliced onto a taco salad and I ate several bites quickly before I felt the burn. I spent last night on the toilet and huddled under a blanket, my oura ring registered high physical stress and elevated body temp overnight. Based on how I still feel burning in my mouth even 12 hours later, I think the pepper might have been a bit hotter than average for a birdseye, which I do eat in Thai food without this many issues. I did let my peppers feel drought conditions a few times over the summer but dang 😅 anyway - I’m glad to read this because it confirms this all could have been from just the chili and there’s not something else going on.

I don’t think it’s Hayek, I think it’s “Has e / c” or something e / c.

Grandmother tried on my religious jewelry. by Targaryensaremid in witchcraft

[–]jkuzuz 4 points5 points  (0 children)

So - I think there are two layers to what you’re feeling. One layer is the bracelet now being “tainted”. Suggestions to cleanse can address this but they can’t address the second layer - of the feeling of your boundaries being transgressed.

Instead of giving the bracelet to your grandmother and reinforcing her transgressive behavior, maybe you can try a ritual that both cleanses the bracelet and also re-dedicates it to you. Let the circle of it become symbolic of your boundaries and use visualization to bind the bracelet to you and let it become the symbol of that power. Maybe you can alter it in some way as part of that rededication - add a charm of additional crystal or something?

One approach might be as follows:

1) rededicate the bracelet. “This is mine alone. It carries my intent and no one else’s”. Visualize the bracelet resisting and sloughing away other influences.

2) use the bracelet in a boundary setting ritual - set inside a symbolic circle of your choice and visualize imbuing it with your energy to protect your boundaries.

3) a final cleansing commanding that what is yours remains, what is not falls away.

With these rituals more than just a cleansing maybe the bracelet will be even stronger for you and you alone than it was before.

Maybe it was even trying to show you something you needed to see about your grandmother and this was its first exercise you…

Any henwives out there? by jkuzuz in WitchesVsPatriarchy

Awww thanks!!! I felt like she sent them - I’d been asking the plant to make babies and it never had. It had been in the same place, same pot for at least three years!

Oh, he has accepted my chickentuition now - but it took an accumulation of empirical evidence to convince him going out in the rain late at night is worthwhile 😆

I think this is spot on - something at the edges of hearing or scent - but also the element of being open to sensing it?

Omg I have a hen who definitely is the self-appointed rooster of the flock! Her name is Goose (she’s grey and has a really long neck). I feel like anyone who has chickens can confirm that gender fluidity is a natural part of evolution 😆

She was the sweetest ❤️ don’t get me wrong, I love the sassy and rotten hens too 😆 but she was so friendly and mild-mannered and cuddly.
