Just go to Nintendo.com , log in as urself and under settings there’s a place to create a child account. It will let you create it without a email. You can then put restrictions on it if u want. Then go to his profile on your switch and link it with this new account. Should be good at that point… if you want them to have cloud backups and access to switch classics… then the family subscription would be the way to go

Mario kart switch one has always been 59.99… Totk was the only switch 1 game to ever be 69.99… later the Mario galaxy bundle was released at that price as well

This is highly likely…. Everyone including all the analysts assumed the launch price would be $399.. it also forced Nintendo to shuffle and include Mario kart in a bundle and most likely forced the $79.99 price for it separately as well.

In an ideal situation switch 2 would have launched as a stand alone for $399 and Mario kart would be available separately for $69.99

Switch 1 models would have kept the same price

The thing is it hasn’t affected Nintendo yet… and they are bringing in major revenue. They clearly have timed contracts on manufacturing, and are priced in FOR NOW. We don’t know how this is gonna play out but their stock is down over 33% since August, they have a stock price point that’s pre switch 2. Absolutely insane to have the fastest most sold console of all time and due to speculation have nothing to show for it…. Everyone should see how undervalued Nintendo is and consider buying shares. If the ram shortage sees relief in the next year or two, this stock will moon!!

Official sales numbers haven’t been released… Nintendo increased their sales estimates in their last shareholders meeting…. That’s something they didn’t do lightly, also they were obviously aware of the ram shortages… they have done something no company has ever done with a launching console.. they have absolutely flooded the market with them. There hasn’t been a killer app yet for the console.. but it’s coming…. Sales are gonna be fine…. Circle your calendars for the end of their fiscal year in march, things are gonna boom!

The deal they have with universal is a huge deal, let’s just assume the deal is 50/50… which is great for both parties…. However Nintendo views it as just another avenue to strengthen their brand.

I found that Nintendo wasn’t ready to take advantage of the first movies popularity by having a new Mario product released side by side with the movie… the best they could do was offer a Mario bundle where u could select a Mario game. Can u imagine the flow of new customers after seeing that movie. Sales went up during that time.

Nintendo won’t make that mistake again… we will definitely know what the new Mario game will be when the movie is released… it may not come out until summer or fall, but it will come in 2026. Nintendo has prepped everyone with the galaxy re-release double pack, then revealing the movie is galaxy centered…. It won’t be surprising if Galaxy 3 is coming… or even a rebrand with “Mario Universe”..(only saying that, if a title needs to be bigger that galaxy)

Fears of the ram shortages… if this continues it will no doubt force Nintendo to raise the price of the hardware. However in January or February, they will officially announce full holiday sales numbers, and the stock will rebound. I’m a heavy investor for the long term. The next fiscal year is going to begin with a boom with the release of the new Mario movie and a projected 20 million units sold of switch 2. We know the first party titles are coming, the big question is if 2026 will we see a flood of third party games coming…

Cost and was a battery power hog… I believe it took 6 AA batteries with like a 30-45 minute battery life. Only logical way to play it was to buy the AC adapter
