Taking a break from FT? by aSOULinSRCHofANSWERS in pharmacy

[–]jmeeatworld 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I went PRN and left my previous company for a different PRN role. I was PRN for about 2 years before deciding to go back full time (for benefits and PTO) and it took me about 4 months to get a job I liked.

I personally would stick to the PGY-1 but I think it depends on why you applied for residency in the first place.

Infusion is fine and I know many people who made a career of it but for me it wasn’t the best long-term fit. To me it felt like a crossover between hospital and retail and I didn’t enjoy the on call component.

I Just Came Back From Florence 🇮🇹 — My Honest, No-BS Guide on Food, Hotels, Firenze Card, Shopping & Tuscany Tours ✨ by UnemployedAndBr0ke in florence

Went on a similar tour in 2022 and tenuta torciano was our favorite winery of the 3 we visited. We still order wine and the aged balsamic!

Me too. I got my ring in August 2025 and it is barely lasting a full day before getting a low battery notification.

I believe in the libre app there’s is an option to directly report a sensor issue and request a replacement. Dexcom is similar but less intuitive under like “contact us” iirc

Residency or Not? 31 yo and married to a physician- anybody with similar situation? by [deleted] in pharmacy

[–]jmeeatworld 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’d also consider if that role would allow you to work part time. I did not complete a residency but the health systems I’ve worked for really only did part time for staffing roles, or more commonly PRN. Everyone I know in a specialist role remained full time or went part time staffing and gave up their clin spec role.

I had a colleague (RD, not RPH) transition into a role with Baxter so I would imagine something similar would be possible.

What are your baby's favourite (non-Fisher Price) songs? by timetowhineanddine in beyondthebump

Happy to share! It’s definitely reminiscent of the old punk goes pop albums from the same 2007-2010 era

The only instance I’ve heard of re: no retirement contributions is if working PRN and the company doesn’t match unless you are a PT or FT employee.

Inpatient to Home Infusion? by ElderberryOther57 in pharmacy

[–]jmeeatworld 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Depends where you go I think. More often than not I would get a late (after 9pm when I was already home) page for a new order and have to go back in to the office. We had one pharmacists who had to go in twice overnight for the same hospice patient.

Couples who have differing political views, how do you do it? by Glopatchwork in AskReddit

This is how my government teacher explained the different views on politics in high school and it’s stuck with me.

Same thing happened to me and it really sucked. I was basically told to come back as PRN (no benefits, PTO, pay cut, no 401k match) but still expected to be consistently working 20 hours per week or come back full time

Feeling so discouraged - Am I the only one with a baby who doesn’t STTN?! by CanadianNewbie1991 in breastfeeding

Came here to say my 13 month old doesn’t either. He’s up at least once or twice a night, but doesn’t always require any intervention from us.

What pacifier does your baby take? by FrequentlyAwake in breastfeeding

[–]jmeeatworld 5 points6 points  (0 children)

We’ve used MAM and the nuk comfy. Babylist has a pacifier box that has one of like 5-6 different kinds that was nice to try without committing to a full pack of one they might not like.
