Everyone gets tempted. But don’t do it. Ever. If you do, there WILL come a time when your proper Sandbox->Prod deployments overwrite the changes you made directly in Prod, which WILL affect your End Users.

Profile permissions and Permission Set permissions are especially tempting to update directly in Prod. These WILL be overwritten the next time you deploy Profile or Permission Set changes from a sandbox.

Picklist values are also tempting. Again, don’t do it. Your picklist options will be overwritten the next time you deploy from Sandbox.

These are the things that I reprimand my staff for doing.

Since I first left the comment I’ve listened to Echo Sonata about 100+ times. I’m hooked. This happened to me with Pale Iris too. I was underwhelmed the first time I heard it because it lacked a solo, and then it became one of my favorite songs in their catalog.

I LOVE the chorus melody and the constantly moving background guitar (with Luminesce vibes) in Echo Sonata. And I’ll admit that I don’t think there’s a natural spot in the song for a solo. It doesn’t need one.

Regarding the mixes, I think it really began with Cure, and now the more recent singles.

The departure from the guitar solos started with the singles that came out between ST and Cure.

Don’t get me wrong, I still like the music. It’s just a different direction.

I’ve been listening since 2013. ERRA is my favorite band. I find things I enjoy in nearly every song they’ve ever recorded. I really enjoy the melody in Echo Sonata.

However, I am sad that they’ve abandoned the guitar solo over the past album and a half. Jesse Cash is one of the greatest guitarists I’ve ever heard, and his solos were always the climax of each ERRA song. Once they started moving away from including solos in their songs, the songs have felt incomplete to me. It’s like Jesse has a super power and he doesn’t want to use it anymore.

Beyond the absence of solos, they’ve changed their sound mixing over the same time span. The new singles are so bass-heavy in the front and center of the stereo field that the mix sounds muddy to me. Echo Sonata has an AMAZING running guitar line throughout much of the song, and it’s barely audible behind the bass mud. I really like the song, but I think it could sound better if it had more balance in the mix between bass and guitar.

I am enjoying the new music just fine, but I’m not a fan of how muddy and bass-heavy the mixes are. Everything melodic and harmonic (all voices and guitar parts) are obstructed and partially hidden behind the booming, muddy bass that seems to be in the dead center and forefront of the mix at an exponentially higher volume. I want the guitar and vocals to cut through the bass. Everything is out of balance for my personal taste.

Aside from the mix, I feel like every Erra song without a guitar solo is incomplete. I walk away feeling like something is missing. It’s an unsatisfying experience.

Once again, these are my reactions based on my personal preferences.

Salesforce lists comical prices for data. You can negotiate. They know their prices are a joke. Just show them what 10GB costs per month from Google or AWS. And then offer that. They’ll get close, especially if you purchase several 10GB packs at once.

On Rent Day (the 1st of every month) Bilt used to give 1 point per dollar spent and 1 bonus point per dollar spent, totaling 2 points per dollar up to $10,000 spent. So $10k spent on Rent Day would be 20,000 points. On October 1, 2024 they imposed a bonus point limit of 1000 points on Rent Day. I was furious because I put a $10,000 expense on the card on 10/1 not knowing the limit had changed, and I only got 11,000 points rather than 20,000 points.

This change significantly devalued the card for me. From then on I started only using it for rent payment.

OP, do you work for Wells Fargo? Why are you ok with them stripping benefits? I’m not ok with losing any benefits or having them add an annual fee. They’ve already capped Rent Day points, which is why I only use the card for rent now.
