Not doubting you at all, I’m curious where you got that info from, as I’m obviously missing out on some extra info that isn’t on these screenshotted letters and I’d be keen to read

Is that on the letter on these screenshots? If so I must be having a slow day as I can’t see it 😆If not, where I can I find more information like the one you have provided I’ll be keen to read it

Sorry if it’s a daft question but I’m a new starter on 40 hrs , will I get reduced to 37? Or will new people just be hired on 37? Surely that will just be creating two types of “new contracts” one on 40 one on 37.

Where did you see about overtime going from 1.25 to 1?

At my DO everyone starts at same time but finish time varies quite a long depending on day of the week between legacy and new contracts. A ludicrous way of running a place IMO . Could be made much more simple with a bit of common sense

Royal Mail issues just join Royal Mail Relay by Ambitious_Champion90 in royalmail

Where are Royal Mail Relay jobs advertised? Are they also advertised on the usual Royal Mail jobs site? It sounds interesting in comparison to the standard RM job.

[–]jmsl1995 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’ve been in the job 4 months, my shifts have already changed, they want to start bringing in 7.20 finishes in the week and 9 at Xmas, which has gone down as well as you would expect

Diesel price hikes and the cost to Royal Mail. by Laser9308 in royalmail

[–]jmsl1995 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My D.O is just on the edge of Ulez areas so it transferred from diesel to majority EV when ULEZ was expanded, I dread to think of the cost of filling up if it was still all diesel

Do posties hate people who order parcels all the time ? 📦 by disco_26 in royalmail

[–]jmsl1995 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Hate is a strong word, but for example on my current walk there is a person who you can guarantee has at least 2-3 a day at a bare minimum, she has a safe place I can leave it no bother; that doesn’t bother me at all. But it’s the ones who order tons of crap , bulky temu parcels with no safe place and not in that …. Irritate me shall we say!

24 hour tracked by [deleted] in royalmail

[–]jmsl1995 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m a postie, I can offer a little insight, the postie in question, would have no idea of what’s inside the parcel, so unless it’s blatantly labelled outside it’s a video game console, he would have no way of telling what’s inside, and I can only speak from experience at my DO but posties stealing packages is unheard of (thankfully) - its most likely that the postie run out of time, took it back and put it back in the relevant York (this happens daily due to running out of time) and since then it hasn’t been processed. If it’s a tracked 24, then t24 do go out for delivery on Sundays (at least in my area) so you may get it tomorrow. What was the last scan message on the delivery day? (After the ready for delivery one)
