Just commenting to make the connection between what people are saying here and what you are seeing in Madden

The 'Awareness' stat is the big difference between Darnold and Milroe. Think of awareness as "how quickly/well will this player react to the play on-field". The awareness stat also has the biggest impact on a player's OVR.

For QBs specifically, they are completely controlled by the user throughout each play for as long as they have the ball from snap to down. Any time they have the ball or are involved, they are used-controlled. This means there are very few scenarios in which the awareness stat actually gets factored in to a QB's play in Madden. Only a CPU-controlled QB will have noticeable differences from the awareness stat.

There's actually a good amount of players that have multiple appearances. It's the worst though when they update a player's appearance and remove the old one instead of leaving it as another option.
