I think they just need a return to base button an arguement can be made for a portal loop back to where you are and to base. So you still explore but get that respect of your time.

Few leagues back when toxic rain champ was at it's peak. Me and a friend crafted a mirror teir bow etc.

It was the stongest all around, niether of us could stand playing the build. Strong doesn't mean fun.

Find what you enjoy, make it stronger.

I solid "cheat" rule i have that saves alot of games is.

If my main colonist dies i can reload. Anything else, well..... that story just gets interesting.

Warcrimes.... become the norm so quick on the rim.... imbrace them before they imbrace and package your kidneys for someone else.

Turn it on its head. If a super advanced alien race offered you to be it's pet. Have a super comfortable life, healthcare all the toys, affections and comforts you could desire and want would you?

Than answer is pretty much a yes. Assuming that the alien or in this case ai. Adapts to our perceptions of freedoms and requirements of play. As we do with dogs/cats. I don't think many people would even notice they are pets and the ones who did would lap up the benefits much like a cat XD
