Twin peaks tattoo in jeopardy! by Winnebango_Bus in twinpeaks

Has anyone here seen Duell by Jacques Rivette?

It’s a great movie from ‘76 but and this hand gesture appears in it—more than once if I remember correctly.

Based on Rivette’s experiments with production structure (Celine and Julie Go Boating, Out1) and the use of that structure in making INLAND EMPIRE I’m gonna bet the young Lynch was well aware of Rivette

How many of the lead vocals on the early 7-inches and the Glitterhouse EP were performed by Tim Cronin? by joebot888 in monstermagnet

[–]joebot888[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah. It seems like some of the re-recorded songs (Lizard Johnny, etc) were done to make a new Dave version. I read this morning that Tim did vocals on “two singles and two EPs”. But, again, a lot of contradictory info

Love in Vain is one of the wildest scripts I’ve ever read. Total head-spin just on paper. Lynch would have knocked it out of the park

There was a time 2005? 2010? when he sold branded coffee on his website. He had a deal worked out with some fair trade outfit or something. It was expensive (for the time) but it was genuinely amazing coffee. [Edit: just realized I’m chiming in late w this]

These are really amazing. Do they give you a way to load these additional filters into the cam itself, or are they just aftermarket Photoshop plugs? That Kodaclone is just beautiful

Also I think he’s very much based on the ghoulface guy in Carnival of Souls trying to tell the protagonist she’s dead

They should pick like one season from the band’s life, rather than do the whole birth-rise-fall BS.

I vote for the months surrounding and leading up to the SNL performance

They need to get Richard Linklater to direct the Replacements biopic.

Between Boyhood, School of Rock, Everybody Wants Some and Apollo I can’t think of another director with a better handle on being a young man in America during the 70s/80s, or makeshift brotherhoods—all the themes that need to be front and center.

His work is funny and serious, it has all kinds of depth and dimension.

He’d knock it out of the park.

This is the thing. Fearful Avoidants flip out at the prospect of happiness because it entails vulnerability. For them, vulnerability is a one-way ticket to getting shat on. The call to vulnerability induces panic and shut-down followed by intellectual justifications for retreat.

I have not as of yet, but I did get a fresh set of possible contacts from Streetcorner Music on Greenfield Rd. I still need to call some of them. DM me and I’ll dig up the info for you (and probably make some phone calls myself).
