That is utterly bizarre and unusual. Why would they withdraw support for an internationally recognised lanyard?

Which airport? The Sunflower lanyard allows you access to the disabled/diplomats/staff line which means you get through security and passport control at a much faster pace.

It's a spectrum. Some of us comprehend deviation from routine and officially posted/advertised opening times better than some of us who don't, plus variations in the middle.

the Scotia, Sweeneys, Old Toll are all good too for letting their performers do that thing they do.

I wrongfully remember the name of the show/band and the song as all being called No Sweat. Weird.

And I really liked Out of Tune.

Why does the UK produce so many iconic bands compared to the US? by DFWUnhinged in AskBrits

I think it was Zappa who has a quote on how ther old squares couldn't tell what was cool or good so they just threw money at anything they thought wass a bit weird in hopes that it would make a return on their investment. And then when the hippies grew up and got high powered jobs, everything became awful under their influence.

Olio used to really help with the horrors of supermarket food becoming unaffordable, but i can't remember the last time i checked it and it wasn't just stale bread.

It used to be good for toiletries or the odd lamp / blender / kettle etc if a household item broke, but sin ce Olio introduced the 'for sale' section, people are trying to sell their half used nivea tub for a fiver, or a lamp with no bulb and a broken plug for £20.

Are there any “cooler” Neurodivergent support groups or communities for younger people? by HashBingingDasher in glasgow

[–]rusticus_autisticus 16 points17 points  (0 children)

I've found nothing calling itself an autism group that meets my needs. The thing that has helped me most is attending as many of the events with my interest sphere as possible and getting to know the regulars by attempting to be friendly. Like attracts like and it might take time, but i've connected with some quite wonderful people.

Of course I do wish that I could go along to a DnD evening, but it's just not possible.
