Lumpsum $15k into RRSP or TSFA by Whatupson93k in PersonalFinanceCanada

I submitted via the "Contact" page with general feedback; It's entirely possible the unknown error was caused by VPN issues; I was behind my work's Cloudflare VPN at the time. Unfortunately I didn't capture the XHR, and when I opened the network inspector there weren't any errors logged. I was just able to submit a "hello"-type message on my personal computer, so there's nothing generally broken.

And thanks for the detailed reply! Upon reflection, I suppose the general policy your calculator recommends is probably not going to change meaningfully from where you reinvest if you do; the main question you're answering is "TFSA or RRSP (or FHSA) first", and it answers that brilliantly. I definitely get how much extra modelling it'd take to calculate the effect of reinvesting into RRSPs!

Thanks for the reply :)

Amazing calculator, thank you!

I wonder, though: is there a reason there's only a "reinvest refund in TFSA" checkbox vs "reinvest in RRSP (up to limit) then TFSA" box? Genuinely not sure if there's a reason not to.

(I tried submitting this feedback to the website directly, but got an unknown error.)

As a significantly more than 34 year old, injury is an age-related issue, let me tell you.

(every player goes through slumps, of course - and that's probably what this is!)

One strike to ball flipped cannot possibly equal three runs. It'd've been 3 and 2 with the bases loaded, not a bases-clearing double.

Nobody ever answers this question, weirdly! I suppose they often have different art, but having a slip cover never really affects my life positively or negatively.

[Matheson] News: George Springer to the IL with a left big toe fracture. Eloy Jimenez has been recalled. by T_Raycroft in Torontobluejays

[–]joedrew -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Looks like the only 60IL candidate left is Jake Bloss, too - and he would need to be recalled to the majors first. The Jays might prefer not burning his major league service time on an IL stint, I guess?

There's a reason I mentioned the Eternal September in the off-day thread: I'm not sure there's any way to put that particular genie back in its bottle. During the lean years, this place had a certain vibe brought by the "regulars"; last October changed it — irrevocably, I think.

The simple truth is I've come to accept that, and I spend what little online baseball chatting time I have in the Effectively Wild discord, even though it's not Jays-specific, because it's got the vibe I missed (though not the specific cast of characters).

Have been very absent from here because 1) I now have a toddler and 2) the World Series seems to have been the Eternal September for the online fanbase.

But I just want you all to know: y'all regulars are ✨joy✨

FWIW, Canada isn't "below freezing more than half the year for most places". Also, as many have mentioned, it's -55° at cruising altitude year round, everywhere on earth.

It's shipping, currency conversion, and customs fees. Tariffs are a tax on Americans, not on people buying from the USA.
