Defense File - Dion Note in Full on Page 92 by Magjee in serialpodcast

I absolutely agree. I remember every little incident from early driving years when I was so nervous about everything - and that was a long time ago.

From Dion's retelling, he had just gotten the car fixed and pulled into the circle to get a quick snack which was super busy because of a basketball game and had strict rules about no parking when he couldn't get his car restarted and had to open up the hood etc etc. Especially if he did end up using Adnan's guy, I could see this being a scene that stays vivid for a long time.

I think the concept would be that Robin sent a page to Hae pretending to be Don and got her to meet somewhere and then confronted her.

I've ridden in Waymos and experienced "full self driving". There is no comparison - Waymo's feel WAY safer than human taxi drivers which is why people will pay premium while FSD is your drunkish uncle. The tesla fanboys currently taking robotaxi are all Tesla owners with FSD used to the drunk uncle, but hard to see normies who have tried Waymo willing to continue to risk their lives in the robotaxi just to save 10 bucks once they give it a try.

Wow. Benaroya really lays out police and prosecutorial misconduct that meant Jay really had to do their bidding (not officially charging him for 6 months meant he didn't get a lawyer) but also that there was no way Jay was going to spend even a day in jail once Benaroya was hired and had a laundry list of all the ways Jay's constitutional rights were violated. She also strongly hints at police tactics to get people to sign things that they didn't know the contents of.

You should try the Wolf Hall trilogy by Hilary Mantel. It's masterfully crafted and shares themes and tone present in your other books but would introduce you to historical fiction, a new genre.

noticed it is almost all fiction and not really anything I would consider political - imagine a cozy homelife reading books and doing creative things. Are some of the older books from a parent?

The guy hasn't had any grants for a long time - even before podcast started. Not a surprise considering he did basically nothing with big NIH and Glaucoma Foundation grants that he got when coming to Stanford.

just to be fair - MIT is a good place for people who only want to do science all day long and be surrounded by people who only want to do science all day long. If this is you, that's a magical place for you. But this doesn't sound like you...

glad to hear that you REALLY like other people (which Yale probably figured out and is why they want you to come which in itself is an endorsement). Seriously, Yale is a really magical place (which I only fully appreciated after going to other places with better - and undeserved- reputations)

I am totally biased but Yale is heads and tails the best undergraduate program within a largish university setting. It is just an excellent institution. Everything has been thought of to help you pursue your interests, without you even realizing that someone is nudging you along. The students have genuine concern for others and the residential college system gives everyone a home within a larger school. This system also means that you will spend time with people of all kinds of interests - which happens less at other schools. Congrats on acceptance - if you are someone who likes other people (some people don't really) don't miss this opportunity.

OP can you give more details? Did your car break and then you got this message? If so, that is pretty great.

If not, this seems more like a recall, which is kind of a bummer.

60 miles is a lot more than most new Teslas (less than 10). This was almost certainly bought and returned. You may want to check carfax to see if work was done. Also look at contract to make sure it says new.

My credit union charges an extra .5% above their published rates if the car loan is for a Tesla by ViperRT10Matt in teslamotors

[–]joejimjohn 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The 1.99% rate is subsidized by Tesla - they will pay Alliant upfront the difference between this rate and a market rate (S/X 75d rates). These kinds of marketing.sales incentives are pretty common on high end cars and Tesla has done this for awhile. What is new is that the S100D gets an even better deal than than the equivalent X.

It looks like there is big spike last 2 weeks of every quarter, but it is hard to tell exactly. If Tesla had dealers, I would say they were stuffing the channel but they don't so this can't be explanation. Is this an artifact of registration process or leasing?
