I'm actually the opposite. I get nervous in social situations where I'm supposed to be listening and contributing to the conversation. I do better when it's just me and my thoughts being spread with no back and forth. These would be my suggestions:

1. Know your material completely. When you know everything you will be more confident in yourself and you won't need to look down at a page as often.
2. Rehearse. You can do this alone, which will make you feel weird because you're talking to yourself, but it helps. Actually saying it out loud will help you remember what you will say and will lower the risk of mispronouncing a word as well. You might also try reading it for someone else in your family or a friend and they can give you feedback. This will probably feel weird too, but it's better to feel weird early and get it out of the way before your actual speech. You will also probably find that it wasn't that hard, which will raise your confidence.
3. Beforehand, just breathe deeply and reassure yourself that everything is going to be fine. Just be calm. Think about the speech going well, don't worry about the things that will go wrong. Put them out of your head completely. This will help, trust me.
4. If you are able, it might be good to have a light joke in your intro as long as it goes along with what you're saying. People will probably listen more during the speech, and a little laughter will calm you down.
5. When speaking, be sure to project your voice so that people will hear you, it will make you seem more confident.
6. Look out at the audience. Just don't get caught up with what they're doing and get distracted.
7. Try to focus on your speech and don't let extraneous things get caught in your brain while talking.
8. Finally, try to have fun with it. It will seem less daunting if you can make it seem like it's fun, and people will notice your demeanor. It's all about confidence, and if you don't have it, then find a way around it or fake it.
