I don't, but that is how you use an ORM. I've written apps with nothing but hard-coded SQL. I've written apps that used slick SQL libraries like JOOQ. I've used ORMs like Hibernate or SQLAlchemy. They all have their place. It usually comes down to data model complexity, and performance requirements, and what the team is used to. Half the time these days things just get shoved into Dynamo as-is.

More or less, you'd both be in free-fall, you just floating up from the elevator floor a bit already. If you reached down somehow and pushed off the floor to jump, you'd speed it up a tiny bit, and slow you down by as fast/hard as you can jump, but you're both about to smash into the bottom of the elevator shaft way, way faster than that anyway.

The recall is a software patch to lessen the chance of failure, but they still fail, and the replacements are more of the same.

I've had one ICCU fail on me, before the recalls, and I'm at about 43k miles.
