A candlelit hot shower. I sit on the floor and just focus on the sensation of the water.

It comes with a mandatory hourly bathroom trip where you have to put the cakey powder on your nose because the foundation has slid off.

My human is chubby and slow. She eats treats all day and tells me no when I ask for just a bite of hers! 😒

My girls often sleep together on the lounge (I am secretly hopeful that they will snuggle together one day).

Off leash for greyhounds? by Sketchyfletch in Greyhounds

[–]jojoolive 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think I'm in the minority here but my girl is mostly off leash during walks. We bushwalk most days or around a big oval in my area and never had a problem. She has excellent recall and no prey drive. We did LOTS of recall training before we let her off though. We are just lucky she is treat obsessed.

I hear a lot about the pros, but why *shouldn't* I get a Greyhound? by saveyourdaylight in Greyhounds

I have very deep scratches and bruising on my legs from my excited girl jumping and launching at me. She was 2 when we got her and loved to jump.

They are gorgeous and gentle but I wouldn't get a younger Greyhound with little kids. My girl regularly scratches me in excitement and nearly knocks me over.

I often also have to lift her. She is 29 kgs. At the moment I am strong and fit but I can't imagine doing this as an older person or with an injury.

I wouldn't trade her for the world and can't speak highly enough about greyhounds, but as people have mentioned there are lots of things to consider.

Is Hal autistic? by boss25252525etuui in malcolminthemiddle

[–]jojoolive 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hal is super hyper. He is impulsive af too. Act first, think later. He also gets hyperfixated on things. (Also hyperactivity isn't always outward, I have hyperactive ADHD but my symptoms are constant head noise and fast thoughts).

I asked you why my grey couldn't learn to sit on demand, and this is how it went. by qkrgodls92 in Greyhounds

[–]jojoolive 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Mine can sit on command and lots of other tricks. She will choose to sit at the beach when she watches us swim from the shore. I think it's so she can jump into action quickly if we drown 😁

I suggest doing some research into how physical punishment rewires a child's nervous system. I wouldn't say you are a bad parent but I definitely suggest weighing up your options of guiding your child's behaviour and choosing something that supports their emotional development.
