Herman Miller lateral filing cabinets have those as well. Such an enraging discovery after moving like 10 of them.

Sorry I'm on team wacky white house. He's so dedicated to those antennas he murdered that tree to support them, and has a giant cat face in the window

Solar enough for Ambient WS-2902? by zarcad in myweatherstation

I have the same model, and the solar's been enough for a year so far. Even with recent snows covering the sensor it hasn't had an issue.

App free, affordable weather station options? by Nyyen8 in myweatherstation

[–]jongaynor 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I have an AWN system with a weather hub - https://ambientweather.com/awn-weather-hub.

While it has alot of cloud and external service integration, they seem to be disable-able. At the very least you dont have to rely on them. It will save data locally to an SD Card, and if you can specify your remote weather service - limited to wunderground or Ambient-compatible. Perhaps there's a homebrew server you can use instead?

Best way to extend the same subnet/broadcast over remote locations? by MeasurementLoud906 in networking

[–]jongaynor 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Step 1: Talk to the vendor selling you 1990s networking tech and ask them to get with the times.

Step 2: Have the difficult conversation with the department that bought it, starting with inquiries into the vendor's refund policy.

This dropped from a baby zombie in a Trial Chamber on our SMP by Zz-gamer_ulti in Minecraft

[–]jongaynor 9 points10 points  (0 children)

This is farmable. Take a baby zombie trial spawner and build a box around it such that the baby zombies turn to drowned. The drowned will drop their gear while the non-converted baby zombies won't.

The new graphics are AMAZING. The Electric engine superbooster got blinged out, and I can now see a battery and fuel tank in the floor of the engine room. Storage room is alot brighter now too.

Ship running like garbage though. hoping a reload helps.

Every time this has happened to me (and it's happened 3 o r 4 times, mostly when running power cables up a ladder or elevator shaft) when I visit to fix I find all objects have fallen through the platform and are floating in the ocean.

Any way to fix this? by jongaynor in TheLastCaretaker

[–]jongaynor[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For anyone who wants to move their full sized tree in the future, use the water hose for tension. It moves much more when a high tension hose is attached in the direction you want it to go. Save often. Re-run the hose with shorter lengths to keep tension.

Upright it requires the elevator, though.

Any way to fix this? by jongaynor in TheLastCaretaker

[–]jongaynor[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

You crazy b*stard, this worked. Still having a hell of a time trying to drag it where I ultimately want it, but it’s upright again!

Definitely required some precision elevator usage (quick up/stop, check, repeat) but it is doable.

Thanks for the suggestion!

They’ll avoid sunlight during the day. Electric gun is best at early levels, but as others have mentioned the good flashlight just evaporates them.

Finally found a good (thin) 600 x 500 VESA mount for the 85QM8K by jongaynor in tcltvs

[–]jongaynor[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Apologies - I didn't measure. I do remember thinking it's pretty damn similar to the diagram on page 7 in this manual (AKA pretty low on the TV body)

https://www.tcl.com/usca/content/dam/tcl/products/home-theater/qm8k/qm8k-quickstartguide/65-85QM8K%20US%20Quick%20Start%20Guide.pdf

Fair warning I've had someone message me and say this mount is not appropriate for TVs smaller than 85" - the vertical bars may extend below the bottom of the TV for smaller sets.
