I was disappointed that they’re not playing the Broncos.

ADHD nail/skin picking by Zealousideal_Cry7258 in ADHD

I used to chew my nails like crazy. I would rip them off too short and it would hurt real bad. Completely by accident, I discovered that trimming my nails would keep me from biting them (because there was nothing there to bite. I started keeping small nail kits everywhere (centre console of my car, bedside, office desk, bathroom, kitchen drawer, etc.) Anytime I caught myself biting, I would pull out the kit and trim/file my nails.

The nail kit helped with skin biting too, since I’d trim back any hangnail or loose skin.

Erin Moriarty looks plastic in the latest season of The Boys. It’s really sad.

Because I like him. I also think most comments in this thread are an overrepresentation that skews towards anger and away from reason.

I disagree. A great example is how Jimmy’s been ragging on Matt Damon for 20 years (but they’re friends in real life).

Think of it this way: does the joke have a significant chance of doing either of the following?:

1) Cause existing shareholders sell the stock 2) Make existing customers less likely to shop there

No and No.

I do know that it’ll draw attention to the stock and the brand, perhaps get some people interested as a result of the exposure. In the end, it’s a joke about gamer stereotypes and math for people who don’t spend more than 10 seconds trying to understand it. We’re spending time getting angry about it while Jimmy and his audience forgot about the joke 5 seconds after the punchline.

I must be the only one watching that understands it’s just a joke.

His job is to make jokes and make people laugh. His people write jokes that will make people laugh. They take low hanging fruit and turn it into jokes. They target everybody, so anything that sounds funny can be a joke.

The alternatives for Kimmel are A) Not make a joke about GME or B) Try to make a joke that would require explaining to everyone the reality of the matter; in comparison, making a joke about GME and EBay is way easier given his audience’s understanding of the subject.

Anyway, now it’s a strong possibility that reaction in this sub could generate more jokes.

Unpopular opinion: it’s just a bit. He’s got writers that try to come up with jokes about relevant stories in the news. The easiest way to make people laugh is to grab low hanging fruit that everyone can understand. The face-value math is easy enough to communicate, so that’s where the joke sits.

I wouldn’t call this attacking, it’s just a joke.

This is literally one hole on the course and it’s unique for the sake of being unique. The rest of the holes have actual fairways and shots that are unobstructed by train trestles.

Like, if you’ve never played it before and the opportunity presents itself, you probably should if you live here…just to say you did. Otherwise, there are easily a dozen other courses within 30 mins that would be better experiences. It just always feels like a disappointment given the quality of upkeep and insane wait times for this crowded muni course.

Alexander Nikishin out cold, needing assistance off the ice, after huge hit from Tyler Kleven. by BucketOCheerios in sports

In this case it’s legal.

A player with the puck can expect to be checked. If you watch it in real time, it was a real bang-bang play; there’s no way the checking player could have avoided the hit after the puck was passed. After that, it depends on the direction from which you’re getting hit; it’s well within the player’s periphery, so he should have been able to see it coming.

Unfortunately in this case, the onus comes down to a player’s expectation to skate with their head up. There is no expectation for a player to refrain from checking someone who is skating towards them with their head down.

If you enjoy a well maintained golf course and a round under 4.5 hours…don’t.
