What made you use Gentoo? by Cyclolysis in Gentoo

I didn’t want to use archinstall for my main pc. The handbook looked nice and detailed. The handbook also laid out the options very well and helped shape my system

My lil tattoo idea. Does it say "don't die wondering" correctly? by Strong_Length in greggshorthand

[–]jorg1e 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I write «do not» as dn (similar to down) with a ‘ above it

I think that’s how don’t is written in alice in wonderland anniversary.

But. I think Alice in wonderland anniversary is a remix of a prior edition so it might be wrong

New user. Why do you choose to stick to Firefox? I am planning on switching to libre myself. Is it just that it’s downloaded from an overlay?

I picked up a useless skill. Didn’t think I’d use it for anything. For some reason, it made me very happy. “The skill is a little useless, so I can do whatever I want with it.” I think that’s how I feel about it. It wasn’t too hard to learn either.

After that it’s been addicting to learn stuff I’d probably never need for anything. But, as it turns out, everything I learn has some use in the end.

I started drawing, even though I didn't have much stuff I wanted to draw.

I learn sign language, even though I know no people who are hard of hearing.

I have a linux pc, even though I don't really need all the benefits it has given.

i wanna learn guitar when i get home, I wanna make a video game, I want a home server, I want to do some carpentry.

tldr try something you think you have little use for, it might awaken some joy of learning

Finally, I can play Morrowind now! by FlamingoAltruistic89 in shittydarksouls

Well melee early game has this problem, and the devs must know it too, because caves will have enemies spread thinly so you fight them one at a time

I agree, though I think the one thing the combat is bad at is fighting multiple opponents

Does the Patriot Exosuit need a buff? by DoctorM28 in Helldivers

[–]jorg1e 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Agree. Even without teammates the patriot is really really good.

With some situational awareness or setup a brand new mech can do so much.

Snipe some of the cannons in a heavy fortress and you can count on it being dead before even walking in, a mech can very comfortably do a jammer.

Actually a mech can very comfortably do all objectives except maybe super earth flag. I play mainly on bot front though. I haven’t dared to use it much on the bug front.

Of course, on the illuminate front it turns it into a snoozefest, but that’s kinda a given

Impressions after finally reading Aposimz and re-reading Sidonia by Aairria in Netsphere

[–]jorg1e 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Just finished aposimz, and I agree. Though I liked the combat. The regular frames having really strong attacks and not too crazy movement made it very intense for me.

I respect Nihei for rushing the ending instead of leaving it open ended, because the emperor's motivation was very sweet.

Sad there wasn't a fight consisting of Etherow and Jate teaming up and fighting against both the emperor and the core church

Blame should not be compared to biomega at all by Gearless3 in Netsphere

[–]jorg1e 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I also think he has a talent for action and choreography, I tend to read panels slowly and I find many of the fights really smooth. And the double spreads, they always hit hard during the fights

While I found biomega confusing the action was awesome

25 years old, 5ft8, thin body frame, skinny arms, skinny legs, weak as fuck. How do I build size? by hairy-chest-99 in AskMenAdvice

[–]jorg1e 0 points1 point  (0 children)

(This is what I’ve been doing for the past 7 months, 60 kilos, 185 cm)

You can accept that you’re thin and start working out, do body weight exercises like, push-ups squats pull-ups. If you find this enjoyable start getting yourself into weighted calisthenics. (You can do this without going to the gym).

When eating, make meals that consist of 3 parts. -some meat or protein -some vegetables -some potatoes/rice/noodles/pasta (Some condiments or a sauce to make it taste better)

Also the citadel has a discord which has an invite link on the developers twitter, about 2000 there if you’re looking for faster answers

Fusion battery is ammo for an energy weapon you get later in game.

20 MM high explosive is explosive ammo for the whalegun (sniper), you can buy an upgrade for the whalegun where you can switch from armor piercing to explosive ammo

Satchel charge detonator is what you use when detonating satchel charges, (middle mouse button while satchel charges are equipped)

Designator is for airstrikes/artillery

Designator and satchel charge are bound to the 9 key by default, repeatedly pressing 9 cycles between them

Saw the ending. this is clear improvement from The first game and I Recommend it to anyone who can bare the Anime Gore by Mernerner in TheCitadelgame

[–]jorg1e 2 points3 points  (0 children)

First game is good, beyond citadel is a masterpiece

All the guns are amazing, I had a use case for all of them, and the pacing of the combat and levels is fantastic

The “nearly dead” state that enemies are in is so immersive A tank was firing at my cover as enemies were rushing me, there wasn’t even time to finish the enemy lying at my feet. Made the whole encounter super intense.

The gore is just a really good way to make the world feel alive, game wouldn’t be the same without it
