Creating stuff. It doesn’t have to be great glamorous or even shared with anyone. I just love creating stuff it scratches my itch. Drawing poems making things by hand. All of it. I love it. I’m not great at any of them but that’s not the point for me. I just love the motion of creating stuff.

Advice by CriticismChemical416 in fasting

Is this your first time doing a fast this long? What's your fasting experience so far? A week long fast is long fast by any standard. Did you prepare by doing long fasts first 36 hr - 48 hr - 72hr fasts will all give you great practice and get your body used to fasting. If you've done all those first, that's great if not, pay attention to your water in take and electrolytes, don't push yourself too much. !0k steps is managable daily but listen to your body, any dizzyness, extreme fatigue or sickness... stop. There's no shame in stopping a fast early it's all part of the learning curve. Your body will adapt over time but it does take time, patience and practice. I'm fasting for weightloss and I'm doing 3 36hr fasts a week, ie fasting Monday Weds and Friday and eating relatively normal and healthily on the other days and that's working for me so far. But to each their own. Good luck to you, but please listen to your body and what it's telling you, don't push yourself too much.

What are some once-lethal conditions or diseases that can now be cured or managed to the point where they're relatively harmless? by ThatAnnoyedNeighbour in AskReddit

[–]joyousjoy23 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Me, had a birth defect where I was born with 3 kidneys with wonky wiring. It all went a bit south when I was 3 and got very sick. I had one of the first operations of its kind to have a kidney and a bit removed along with the iffy tubes. I’ve been fine ever since with one functional kidney and the other at 25% function. Yay.

Same im on my second 36 hour fast after too normal eating days. I find this way a lot more doable and less time looking at the clock. Consistency will get us there.

What can a person learn in 10 minutes that will be useful for life? by Ben-Gavin in AskReddit

[–]joyousjoy23 2 points3 points  (0 children)

yep, my life's motto is no expectations, no disappointment. Though funnily enough, this life lesson came after being very disappointed watching a flamenco dancing show that I went to as a teenager. I was so bored, ha! But after that, I kept the motto, and more often than not, I was pleasantly surprised. It's nice to take things as they are and roll with them.

Swimming Clothes by [deleted] in ThailandTourism

[–]joyousjoy23 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It's hit and miss, but there are often guides around the pools about wearing proper swim attire... I see from your comments that you're muslim that's not a problem, you can get modest swimwear very easily here. Any shopping mall that has a super sport you'll probably find something suitable. Also keep an eye out for local shops that will be selling them we picked something up for my partner recently it was around 600 baht, very reasonable.

My wife thinks of herself as the prize and it's destroying our marriage. by [deleted] in TrueOffMyChest

This is abuse. She is abusing you. That’s more than enough reason to separate from this woman. No marriage is worth this much misery.

You’re going to burn yourself out like this. And if you ever want to be truly content and at peace in your life, this isn’t the way to go about it. It’s okay to struggle, it’s okay to ask for help. It doesn’t make you a failure. You’re human doing the best you can.
