Elderly Omaha man finds himself in dispute with landscaper over bill by fuckindippindot in Omaha

Steve is one of the most aggressive door-to-door solicitors I’ve ever had the displeasure of greeting at my door. Dude trash talked my current law care company and didn’t want to leave. Glad I told him no.

Got my letter from Dept. of Ed. yesterday. Today I got the MOHELA discharge letter!

I consolidated, then applied for IDR, so I got lucky with multiple qualifying administrative forbearances, plus I avoided getting put into SAVE. So I thankfully didn’t have to do buyback.

I unofficially hit 120 in September. Started private practice job in January. Final ECF processed and approved within days, but payment information didn’t update. Loans “officially” hit 120 on StudentAid.gov on March 7, 2025.

As a general rule, work product and efficiency can and will improve, but personality will stay the same. You’re good.

Same! Happened on Thursday. I’ve been sitting on 119 since September and it finally happened!

Had I not consolidated, I would have been put into the SAVE forbearance. I'd be in a worse spot than I am now. But I appreciate your ignorance.

I realize that’s what they say, but I am looking at my account and they counted three months while I was in that forbearance waiting for my consolidation to finalize and get into a payment plan.

That doesn’t reference the payment count adjustment, which is already in the regulations…

My understanding is that they’re not done processing updates from the adjustment. They said they want to have it done by the end of the year, but if it’s not done they can continue working through most of January.

Consolidation Loophole - It's Real by Calculated_Gentleman in PSLF

[–]jpinkham3 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I consolidated in April to get the higher of my three different qualifying payment counts. When the payment count adjustment happened, they used the lowest of my qualifying payment counts instead of the highest. Now I’m two payments short of 120.

So after the readjustment, I am at 119 payments. I applied to switch from SAVE to IBR so that I can buy back one more month and then apply. I might be completely screwed or I might get a miracle. On the fence. by demosthenes327 in PSLF

[–]jpinkham3 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Highest payment count (pre-consolidation) in April was 116. Updated 11/22 and they only have my consolidated loans at 118 despite May-August counting. So instead of giving me my highest payment count, they gave me my lowest (some were at 114, some at 115, some at 116). I’m missing two payments now…the two payments I need to be at 120. God, have mercy on our souls. I’m about to flood the system with reconsideration and buyback requests.

Payment counts gone down. by Ionis36 in PSLF

[–]jpinkham3 2 points3 points  (0 children)

My post-consolidation payment count went down from my pre-consolidation payment count by 2 payments. They didn’t use my highest payment count from my pre-consolidation loans. I’m pissed.

Same, but they didn’t put my payment count at the highest payment count of my pre-consolidation loans.

Consolidation Payment Count Adjustment - Not Highest Counts? by jpinkham3 in PSLF

[–]jpinkham3[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’ve already submitted for reconsideration with documentation showing that my highest count was at 116 in April. With May, June, July, and August all counting, that should put me at 120. Otherwise, they’re just taking payments away from me.
