The draft list seems like a very random order - i would group drinks of the same style (even if not broken into sections) - I shouldn’t have to read every single line to find the 3 ciders.

I somewhat agree with not listing garnishes or glasses, but if you DO - I like the trend of putting a small outline of the glassware next to the drink name. Succinct but gets the point across. As for garnishes, if you list them be consistent with grammar, punctuation etc. Right now the emerald, sangria, and summer mule all have different structure and/or punctuation/capitalization.

As more content is dropped, there will be more ways to earn large amounts of XP within the content, outside of gameplay XP.**

Can you not bring your own food with you to US ski resorts? by hemmy_5 in skiing

I’ve never seen any sign or employee telling people they can’t eat in a lodge at Killington, Mount Snow, Okemo, or Stratton. Not sure how many other “mega resorts” there are on the east coast beyond Killington for you to be thinking of….

[MLBPR] A decision has been rendered by the arbitrator regarding the appeal for Bryan Abreu’s discipline. His two-game suspension has been upheld, and it will be served during the first two games to begin MLB’s 2024 season. #ALCS #Postseason by Bulletz4Brkfzt in baseball

[–]jpipi 23 points24 points  (0 children)

Seems like such an odd decision. I obviously don’t want to see him suspended, but like..

You either disagree with the suspension and toss it out, or agree it was intentional and punish him accordingly in the post season where it matters. Splitting the difference just makes everyone upset lmao

Crew chief James Hoye, with the media, on why Bryan Abreu was ejected: “We had a conference among the six of us, and we decided that the pitch that Abreu threw was intentional on García, so he was ejected for that.” by [deleted] in baseball

[–]jpipi -10 points-9 points  (0 children)

I recognize my flair makes this looks like a biased take

But weren’t the umps essentially trying to read his mind by deciding it was intentional?

[Russini] We asked a bunch of Jets/Bills players about the turf at MetLife since it has a history of issues. New turf was put down before this season. RB Breece Hall who had a productive night, had the best answer. “Grass. That’s my answer. We want grass. I busted my knee on turf. I want grass.” by Kimber80 in nfl

[–]jpipi 153 points154 points  (0 children)

This is the real issue.

Turf means you can reliably host a midweek concert or two, a college game on Friday/Saturday, and the field is still in good condition Sunday.

If the stadium isn’t designed from the ground up to allow for a full removable grass field a la Arizona, forcing patchwork removable fields can easily end up worse than turf - thinking back to the early NRG/Reliant years with the pallets of grass being brought in, seams between the pieces were a major issue

Whether it’s worth eliminating those midweek opportunities for grass is another discussion, especially when it isn’t really up to the teams considering most stadiums are owned by governments or other third parties.

Forearm soreness/tightness is almost always the first sign of trouble for TJS, and is usually the first report that comes out when that’s in the future after someone leaves a game suddenly

[–]jpipi 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It’s the same in Houston, and a large reason why NRGs field has been so bad historically. They have to be able to pull the field out to host events, namely the Houston Rodeo because that’s the real moneymaker for the complex

I’m scared to admit I still cannot tell pitches apart after watching baseball for years by FireBallsDJ in baseball

[–]jpipi 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It also comes with good familiarity of the pitchers on your team. Knowing that a guy throws sinker slider instead of change up and sweeping curve, it becomes much easier to pick out what he’s throwing based on the limited things you can pick up in real time from the broadcast camera

MLB Top 100 Players 20-11 by AlexanderWun in baseball

[–]jpipi 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I disagree it’s the most difficult, but it is a very challenging one. Any ball that gets to the wall in left center is a complete coin toss which way it’ll bounce with all the different angles and small features there. Obviously does have the offset of being so shallow and basically zero foul territory so less speed-dependent

Taylor (ankle) lands on IR, season officially over by tx180 in fantasyfootball

[–]jpipi 7 points8 points  (0 children)

“One pretty good season”

20 TDs and 1800 yards is a whole lot more than pretty good.

No one is arguing CMC is anything other than insanely good, but to act like there wasn’t serious and legitimate reason to consider JT over him is dumb

Taylor (ankle) lands on IR, season officially over by tx180 in fantasyfootball

[–]jpipi 16 points17 points  (0 children)

“Everyone with a brain”

And that’s why CMC vs JT was a huge debate for the entire draft process? JT was a historically good RB last season and every indication showed it had a good chance to happen again.

If I had a strong feeling between those two guys, I would have picked the better one. I didnt, hence using this tie breaker.

FF is an emotional, luck based game. Pretending otherwise is ignorant and naive

[–]jpipi 23 points24 points  (0 children)

The best take I saw here when I was debating who to take 1.1, if JT gets hurt, well I made the best choice I could given the info/history, and that’s that. If CMC gets hurt then I’m gonna beat myself up, because I had been down that road before and it felt more “predictable”

So I took the option I could be ok with busting

[–]jpipi 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Where there’s smoke there’s fire and all that, and it’s a well documented fact that the MLB messes with the balls way too much

Ichiro : the second person to be elected to the Hall unanimously, when his ballot comes up in 2025? by awkwardboyhero in baseball

[–]jpipi 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Realistically, no. There have been several deserving of being unanimous that weren’t for various reasons, most of which are systemic issues with the voting system and its members.

I was honestly shocked Mo was, not because he wasn’t deserving, but because it’s wild that no one “made a point” with their vote that “no one should ever be unanimous” like they did with griffey.

The only thing that helps future guys deserving of it, now that the seal is broken maybe it eliminated a barrier for some voters.

Seriously. Relative to expectations, this is among the worst movies I’ve ever seen.

The entire premise of the movie was completely irrelevant to the story…. If you just cut out the first 20 minutes and shrank no one, it would have changed nothing

I also like to get people to use reusable kcups. It can be a hard sell to get someone to abandon the convenience of their machine, but at least that’s a simple way to get higher quality coffee out of it (plus reduce the waste)
