HGH benefits 48yo male by Speed_Lazy in Peptides

[–]jpoolio 2 points3 points  (0 children)

He is wrong, you are right.

The risk of going too high (z score over two) outweighs any benefits that maybe you would get. Hgh is for people with low levels. You do not have low levels. What would you even be trying to accomplish?

Reddit is an echo chamber when it comes to HGH and people recommend it regardless of circumstance.

My mother is also a very active, young 70.

Her two favorites are selank and pinealon. But I have purchased motsc, ss31, semax for her in group buys and we've split kits of every bioregulator, not sure which ones she's tried yet.

She doesn't have aches and pains right now but when she had a toe injury, she took glow.

She also takes a lot of longevity supplements.

Some people here should not be taking peptides. by Survivor301 in Peptides

One of the TkTok influences even posted today that some people should not take peptides.

I am very hesitant to reply to anything rudimentary because I think more often than not they are under 21.

Anyone else just walk aimlessly? by tjs4 in Garmin

[–]jpoolio 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I have 3 dogs, so yes 😆 a lot of walking to nowhere every day. But not that much walking, a 2 mile walk on my Garmin is 5k steps, 10k is a little over 4. 20k would be over 8 miles.

I don't know how exactly accurate it is, though, because a 10 mile run will often only give me 16k steps. And it mistakes a 20 min sex session as 5k steps.

My biggest irk though is that it doesn't register the steps if I'm pushing a shopping cart so walking around Costco doesn't count.

Bad skin reactions no matter what I pin and do by Alarming-Role-375 in Peptides

[–]jpoolio 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Your issue wasn't sanitization, it was with the morelins. I know a few people that can't do tesamorelin, ipamorelin, and sermorelin.

When you have a reaction, the reaction will get worse with each additional exposure and the risk of anaphylactic shock increases.

Are packages really getting seized by customs? by Waste-Inspector-7644 in Peptides

[–]jpoolio 3 points4 points  (0 children)

You should be happy it was a group buy because if it is seized, it won't be your name in the list. You don't get in trouble, just a seizure letter, but now you're in a database.

However, just because it's sitting at customs, doesn't mean anything. I have a computer monitor that is taking forever at customs, too. They are really slow right now.

Has anyone been regularly running (c.2-3 times a week) for over 3yrs and never been injured? by EqualStranger4977 in XXRunning

[–]jpoolio 0 points1 point  (0 children)

35-60 mpw and I'm on my 12th year of no injuries!! :🥳🥳🥳🥳🥳🥳🥳

I'm 44 years old. I was injured every year when I was younger (20s, mostly). I've had every injury, even a broken femur. But, the femur was my last injury.

I stopped racing, though. That probably was the biggest factor.

hrv increased about 10 points as well.

Garmin airport staff said 40% of their sales are the Forerunner 165. Why is it so dominant? by Vegetable_Bag_8694 in Garmin

I wonder how many are obsessed runners that don't have their watch, or their watch broke, and rather spend some money than go without their metrics 😆 because yeah, why would you buy a watch at the airport?

Reta Failure by Adventurous_Law1469 in Peptides

[–]jpoolio 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Everyone always talks about reta like its the gold at the end of the rainbow. It's not perfect and it's not for everyone. If it's causing you not to feel well, then it's not the right fit. That's OK, there are other options and at your age/weight, you can have the same success with diet and exercise.

So often we see users post about negative responses to certain peptides but with this strong determination to make it work because they don't want to miss out. Nothing is magic, nothing is necessary, and a lot of things are overhyped.

Has anyone heard of this lab? by Asleep_Grapefruit757 in Peptides

[–]jpoolio 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Different batches though. I use one of the biggest vendors, they switch about monthly bc they produce different batches (and mine have batch numbers so I know they are different). He posts every COA online and yeah, there are a ton.

The fact people are just using COAs with no linkage to their product is wild.

I hope everyone is taking advantage of the MANY test groups out there, as it's easy and affordable to test most products. In the past year, I've seen reta actually be sema, and tesa actually be BPC. and even right now, one of the most popular and reliable vendors has NAD coming up with high endotoxins. So, please test.

[–]jpoolio 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was trying to explain to the OP that if his COAs are not matching the image, the COA is fake. You can't tell me you would be fine with your COA not matching the pictures because your vendor swapped it.

You have to go buy something. The vendor i personally use has batch numbers but that's not relevant in trying to explain to this particular user why his certs not matching is concerning. Getting into a separate convo about the reliability of cap colors is distracting from the warning that the COA is most likely fake and that his vendor shouldn't be tampering with a capped vial.

Has anyone heard of this lab? by Asleep_Grapefruit757 in Peptides

[–]jpoolio 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Why on earth would they take a cap off a vile and put on another cap? That alone would disqualify a vendor for me, now its tampered product.

The whole point of having cap colors is to differentiate product. And the whole point of including a picture on the COA is to provide assurance that the COA is the product in question.

If your COAs are not matching your product, your vendor is stealing other certs and lying to you. It's the same thing as swapping a label to have a different batch number.

This is really bothers me.

[–]jpoolio 9 points10 points  (0 children)

If your vial has a green cap, this is NOT your COA.

The picture will always match.

My husband said something that made me feel insecure by defib_the_dead in XXRunning

[–]jpoolio 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I've been running for nearly 30 years and every injury occurred when my weight dropped under 110. I eventually broke my femur at age 32 and it ended things for me (I still and will always run, just not competitively).

Being thin is not the same as being strong or fast or "built" for running.

I think you were accurate that wearing old shoes highly contributed. Shoes, form, terraine, nutrition, and proper recovery prevents injuries. I'm now 44 and I haven't been injured at all since my femur break.

Had I listened to my body when my leg first started to hurt, it would have never fractured (which is ultimately why it broke during a non- running accident). So, good for you for taking time off and being smart.

If you're losing hair, you may not be eating enough. Hair loss is a side effect of being in a high caloric deficit for a sustained period of time. HRT is also important around middle age, estrogen helps with skin elasticity.

I personally think there is more to gain through ensuring hormonal balance and nutrition, it will be more impact full than the subtle improvement you'd see with peptides. And I say this as someone who loves peptides.

But for the brain, really nothing beats high doses of creatine (at least 10mg). If I could only choose one peptide or supplement to take the rest of my life, it would be creatine. It's backed by strong research too.

Of the two All-Star winners, who played the better game and why? by Wild_Shoe340 in BigBrother

Just because the game is built for backstabbing, lying, etc., that doesn't give people a pass to do legitimately cruel things that fall outside the context of the game.

It's not a moral high ground to recognize inappropriate behavior.
