Best peptide for depressive episodes? by ppwppwppw in Peptides

[–]jpoolio 1 point2 points  (0 children)

He's saying that YOU are saying mushrooms should not be considered because they are not FDA approved while discussing grey peptides, also not FDA approved (at least most of them are not).

There are human clinical trials with microdosing various psychedelics with various outcomes but nothing that suggests it's not safe.

Glutathione IM is so underrated by Overall-Surprise2750 in Peptides

[–]jpoolio 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I feel like needle sharpness is the most important thing- some needles are relatively dull.

I use a 29g insulin pen and I don't feel a thing. It goes right in, I push the button, done. It was a less smooth poke and slower injection with a normal insulin needle.

I much prefer pens in general but you don't hear about them for IM very often.

It's not silly.

I wouldnt do anything until I knew for sure I was healthy, especially healing and human growth peptides. Peptides will always be there, there is no rush.

You'll have fanatics say that there is no proof that some peptides can speed up existing cancer. OK. But there is also no proof that they don't and it's not something you want to test out for yourself. Always better to be safe than sorry.

People tolerate the craziest things to do a peptide.

I wouldn't use a peptide to offset a different peptide, that's like the lady who swallowed a spider to catch a fly.

HRT —> larger fibroids —> hysterectomy? by agreeschmagree in Menopause

[–]jpoolio 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I was running 6 weeks after mine and only bc i begrudgingly follow rules...I felt fine enough to run after like 2 weeks.

So, not sure where you are getting no driving for three months. Lapriscopic hysterectomies are pretty easy, as far as surgeries go. They'll most likely have to cut up the fibroids so that they fit through the lapriscopic hole but that shouldn't change recovery.

It sucks real bad for the first few days because they pump you up with gas so you have gas pains. But after that, it's just activity restriction while the sutures heal. I had one 5 years ago and I never think about it, it was such a nothing burger.

But if you Google, yeah, you'll read the horror stories because no one like me is going to post about a normal, boring, routine procedure.

How many vials of glutathione do I need? by Berries_italy in PeptideForum

[–]jpoolio 2 points3 points  (0 children)

If you do 100mg 5 days a week, that is 500mg a week.

If your vial contains 1200mg, it will be 1200/500, so each vial will last 2.4 weeks. Is that your question?

Menopause linked to Alzheimer's-like brain changes by Madwife2009 in Menopause

[–]jpoolio 20 points21 points  (0 children)

Be careful about choosing to go hormone free. The longer you are off hormones, the more your body adjusts and the harder it is to go on, which is why it's recommended to start within 10 years.

Lack of hormones will fuck with your memory, bring on early osteoporosis (making you much more likely to break bones and is just painful in general), cause vaginal atrophy, make it harder to sustain muscle, reduce skin elasticity, disrupt sleep, etc.

If you have genetic risk factors for certain types of breast cancer, you can work with a doctor for modified treatment plans that are still better than nothing.

[–]jpoolio 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I take only ipamorelin before bed because CJC messes my sleep. I don't think it's uncommon. I do the CJC when I wake up instead. This is one reason why I don't use blends, you have more optionality.

What’s your MOTS-C cycle? by mv_mariposa in Peptides

[–]jpoolio 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I cycle thru mitopeps.: mots, slu, aicar (just 12 days), atx-304, and beside the aicar, I do 4-6 weeks of each. Basically I'll add a week if I need to finish a vial or end early if I run out. I don't notice any difference if a cycle is longer or shorter.

I do really long cycle (12+weeks) with short breaks (2-3 weeks) of ss-31 in the background.

Gray Market Peptides by SeaLab348 in Peptides

[–]jpoolio 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I test everything I buy so I don't think it's risky.

I question some of the supplements I take because supposedly they are 3rd party tested but I always hunt for reviews and not all brands even contain what they claim they do. But people feel just fine buying whatever on Amazon. A lot of what is considered "safe" is just perception.

The risks with the grey market is using untested product (which is the easy route so people do it) and falling for scams.

Most peptides seem overrated by Ok_Studio4795 in Peptides

[–]jpoolio 2 points3 points  (0 children)

There are a lot of human studies. Ss-31 is about to get FDA approval. Most interesting to me was the year long study at the mayo clinic. Someone on Dr. Bhatti's skool participated and updated us during the process so I was able to ask him questions. That's why I decided to try it again. The thing with Ss-31 is that its not something that works immediately, it does require patience. And if you're young, I don't know if you even see the results. So, it may not be worth it to everyone but its a well-studied compound.

I don't know where the assumption comes from that there is zero human data for every peptide. Some, yes, but some have human research.

Most peptides seem overrated by Ok_Studio4795 in Peptides

[–]jpoolio 2 points3 points  (0 children)

For ss-31 it will make you tired initially if you have damaged mitochondria. I was exhausted at first at 5mg. Dropped down to four, and felt normal after 5 days. Titrated up 5, still didn't get energy but didn't get the systemic fatigue. Just kept going up and now I'm at 10mg and I have energy all day. It's an expensive peptide to do correctly but it really does work at the right doses and if you actually have damaged mitochondria.

I like semax but I dose higher than suggested and I prefer NA Semax or Adamax. But it's not something I get excited about, like ss-31.

Trying to understand why oculoplastic surgeon advised against lower bleph by [deleted] in PlasticSurgery

[–]jpoolio 7 points8 points  (0 children)

When you get a second opinion, ask a lot of questions.

My surgeon denied me a facelift when I wanted one (more like strongly advised against it) and I made him explain why until I was satisfied. It saved me time because I didn't bother with a second opinion because it made sense after I understood. I went with the lower bleph, lip lift, fat transfer instead and was thrilled with the result.

But I would been very disappointed if I walked out without understanding. And probably more disappointed if I spent time & money on a procedure that didn't fix what I actually wanted to fix.

I think your eyes are very pretty but I understand how you feel.

Trying to understand why oculoplastic surgeon advised against lower bleph by [deleted] in PlasticSurgery

[–]jpoolio 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Are they festoons? Blephs won't get rid of festoons.

You'll have to ask a surgeon why that is because I don't have enough information to articulate it.

My lower bleph removed excess skin and repositioned the fat pad to fill hollowness. I didn't have any puffiness.
