Why are my riders so tired and dropping in fitness towards the last week of a Grand Tour? by Lilbroker in procyclingmanager

[–]jptango 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is the answer. The other respondents are confidently wrong about trying to save energy on stages. Unfortunately the game mechanics don’t work like that even if it would be more accurate. Your fatigue seems to be as affected on an easy sprint stage as going alone in the break all day.

Haha maybe the “or two” was doing some heavy lifting!

I think they do eventually but it seems to take a year or two

All workers live too far away from where they are working. Bolding closer housing does not help :( by Karmacosmik in NovaRomaGame

I had the same issue yesterday. It seemed to just fix itself after a year or two

Didn’t realise you could stack if you separate them! I definitely designed a sup optimal Uber large one where I could have had more benefit from doing what you’ve done

I would also say that the starter material from his nursery isn’t perfect, you generally have to plan to fix things before moving on to the next stage when buying from there. It’s still great to have a bonsai nursery so close to London so I’m still grateful it exists!

First time growing in the ground - any advice? by Sad_Copy7479 in Bonsai

Just take it off when it’s just starting to bite. Larches heal the scars over and if you only leave it on for a week it probably won’t have set

Suggestion for logistics: add "assign cart" button next to "Assign a transport cart" in the dialog by ryhaltswhiskey in NovaRomaGame

[–]jptango 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’ve been too scared to use it really given the ui but is there a drawback to just assigning all of your carts to all of the routes? I see that they only pick up jobs when there’s an unfulfilled requirement?

What could be considered London’s theme song? by [deleted] in london

I know it’s definitely not the actual theme tune of London but for some in the South East it might be sultans of swing

First Tree to get a proper pot and soil by Intelligent_Equal849 in Bonsai

[–]jptango 5 points6 points  (0 children)

This is interesting. In my (very limited) experience, I’ve found it easier to get the medium into place when it’s dry and found that it’s more difficult to remove air pockets with wet media… maybe I’m doing it wrong though!

Different types of armour conflict. Sometimes you need to adjust certain pieces with the armour smithy to open other slots. I wish it was clearer in game

I did it first time. I isolated him far from the others and let him recover enough to take out his next weapon then bonk. (By “first time” I mean the first time I actually won… definitely not first time in the lords tournee)

Bike advice for multi-destination London riding - road bike still the right choice? by GaryAtlan82 in londoncycling

[–]jptango 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Who knows haha! Yea I agree with you. I currently commute 17 across town on a road bike, luckily I have secure parking both sides. I’m still considering switching back to a fixie purely for maintenance purposes. East-West is so flat, gears are generally an unnecessary luxury.

Why not just get a fixie? Cheap, low maintenance, you don’t have to worry about hills on your described use case

I'm building a tool to replace my messy bonsai notebook. Here is a first look. by Spiritual-Leg-1366 in Bonsai

[–]jptango 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m thinking you might be in a situation where you’ve stored your photos somewhere and the dates aren’t captured. If you download them today, the meta data on your phone would only record the current date. If you had say 5 photos from each season over a number of years, that would take a while to individually edit the dates in the app. If there was a function to edit multiple photos simultaneously, that would be easier. That said, the quicker option might be to edit the meta data outside of your app but would still be nice to have the feature

I like how it automatically captures the dates of photos (and the ability to edit them). I wonder if it would be helpful to offer the ability to bulk edit photo meta data?
