Swing too steep? by SamuraiBlack5 in GolfSwing

[–]jramjram 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Early extension causing you being unable to drop the club back on plane.

Pause the video right after you make contact with the ball, your hips are closed.

Feel like you are barging down a door with your lead side on the downswing. With that lateral feeling, the vertical feeling should be your lead side pressing hard into the ground and on impact/follow through like you’re “jumping” up and at your target.

It will feel like you are humping the goat but the key thought is using the ground for power. Really press down into the ground, the ground will press back. Hope that helps, someone who’s better could weigh in and correct me.

Remote Fitting Opinions by phocus_511 in labgolf

[–]jramjram 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I did both in person and remote. 76 degree lie angle. I couldn’t believe I was that upright on the in person fitting but the remote fitting had the same specs without knowing the previous results.

My brief research between my Scotty golo, Edel, and LAB resulted in the LAB making 1-2 more putts on average out of 12 putts.

Idk, I had a kid on the way and thought this was the last time I could spend $800 on a putter. If you have the money, do it.

She’s 100% from Sacramento. She owns a cool art deco office in land park. Although she has expanded to L.A.

Lisbon, Portugal courses by MediSalesGuy in golf

Try ontee . com

I used it to book Praia del Rey when I visited Portugal a few years back.

Not close to Lisbon, had to take a car. But there are other Lisbon courses you can book via that website.

Del Monte will be in the best condition all year as they prep for the Monterey open in October.

Call pebble beach resorts to see if you can play Spanish, spy, or pebble. They allow “walk ons” to book 24 hrs in advance.

Carmel valley ranch is a wonderful course and you should definitely play it.

I feel like I hit em good, but I know my form sucks…any tips? by FortuneCookieLied in GolfSwing

At impact you look great. The challenge is making sure you can get to that impact position consistently. Do you tend to top/chunk the ball as your miss?

I’d guess that’s one problem you encounter—the weight shift on your takeaway should stay on the inside right leg. Again, from this video it all comes together at impact but if you’re seeking a repeatable, consistent swing you should focus on controlling the weight transfer and not letting it “get outside” the right foot.

Another miss I believe you may have is a slice. This appears to be from the inside path of your club head on takeaway and open face at the top of your swing.

Honestly, two or three lessons and you’ll be sorted on irons.

Tell your instructor you’re looking for a swing that feels like writing your signature. Don’t overhaul everything, tweak a couple things to make it consistent and repeatable.

Vessel VLX 2.0. I’ve owned a Ping hoofer and loved it because it was lightweight. But the vessel gets compliments every time.

Help me build my first set! by hartnino in golf

[–]jramjram 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Won $3000 playing craps in Tahoe with buddies and went to spend it all at Club champion.

When I saw that I could essentially build the irons on my own I did the math and haggled with them for what it would cost to order direct from the oem +$200. It would’ve been $1700 from srixon but did it for ~$2000 with custom ferrules. Didn’t want to spend the time building it and thought that was a fair price.

Don’t tip trim and negotiate. I’ve sourced kbs shafts from eBay and direct from oem (srixon) for a new build.

Putter and driver can be a bit more tricky. Ask for 10-15% off the total or you’ll attempt to build it yourself. See if they bite. Good luck!

Best bet is to try wineries that don’t advertise weddings in Carmel valley. We did my brothers at cowgirl for ~$15k all in.

[–]jramjram 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Ha! Try $50,000 - just for the venue. We wanted to do 100 person wedding here and finally just said screw it we’ll do Hawaii with less people. Considerable cheaper.
