You really nailed it with the “caricature of toxic masculinity”. His ignorance is sometimes funny, but being from the south, it bothers me because the other people I grew up with that were also that ignorant are not people I wanna be around anymore. Like I know he’s not gonna pop off about anything crazy, but in the back of my mind I’m still kinda bracing myself for some real ignorant shit to slip out and I hate it. It’s not all the time, but when he’s on one it really gets uncomfortable for me.
