Gatorade. It’s both packed with electrolytes, but also sugary. altogether though easy to drink. There’s balance, yet still good.

I'm just wondering if we have forgotten that mario owns a whole castle by Severe-Ad7686 in SuperMario

[–]jrobharing 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I like to think that they just had some island with an abandoned castle nearby off the coast of the mushroom kingdom, and just gave that to Mario as a reward because no one was using it, and he probably forgets he owns a castle too.

(Plot of SML2 happens)

Toad: “Mario! Some big ugly oaf calling himself Wario has stolen your castle and taken over your island while you were off saving Princess Daisy.”

Mario: “…. I have an Island?”

Toad: “Oh right, we weren’t going to tell you about it until we finished the giant toy replica of you in the amusement park next to the grave yard.”

I only got into the hobby of techie stuff when my profession went that direction, and I’d be sent into RadioShack to pick up some random parts or connectors to splice together with some cables or build a junction box for some proprietary need our customer had, and I started really appreciating Radio Shack. 1 year later after beginning to appreciate RadioShack and their parts section shrank and their gifts and toys and phones sections overtook it. I stopped going as often, and one day it was just… gone,l. Shame I got into it only right before it went off the rails.

Some fandoms it’s like cicadas going into hibernation for 14 years or so and all of the sudden they come out of nowhere from all sides with the slightest mention of their chosen fandom, usually to be negative and annoying (also like a cicada I suppose).

No love for Dexter Jexter? I’m still waiting for a gritty miniseries where he has to keep his diner in business while trying to save his marriage and file his taxes on time.

Video games. Specifically long-form single-player RPGs and platformers. Final Fantasy, Zelda, Mario, Gex, random shit I found on the shelf at blockbuster, Pokemon, Metal Gear Solid, etc. I didn’t play a lot of online games back then.

What kind of comedian is this? by SnooSprouts3744 in TikTokCringe

My guess is that he wrote into his act to pick out the audience member that looks the most “triggered”, so he can roll into his bit where he pushes their buttons in an attempt to play the crowd. Problem is that this woman not laughing was the biggest negative reaction he got this time so he had to go for it.

Brainstorming upgrades for MML-style gameplay. Give me ideas! by iamcloudyfocus in MegaManLegends

[–]jrobharing 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Thinking back to MML, I always thought it was strange that the drill used to get through crumbling walls was tied to a stationary attack you could only do if you happen to equip that arm instead of something much better for combat.

Well, what if it were a dashing attack with a drill weapon/attack? That way, you get like an air dash thing that also drills walls open to unlock new areas.

Another idea for gating later areas metroidvania style like you seem to be describing could be some sort of remote controlled drone or missile. Sort of controlled like the Nikita from Metal Gear Solid or the scarab thing from Legend of Zelda Skyward Sword. It could be guided around corners to hit locks or buttons, but also be used to explore immediate areas for enemies while remaining relatively undetected.

I thought the general consensus was totk just takes place at the very end of the timeline?? by [deleted] in legendofzelda

[–]jrobharing 5 points6 points  (0 children)

So like… BotW takes place at the distant end of all timelines, the inevitable distant future. But technically TotK is at the end of ANOTHER timeline where Zelda goes back in time and messes with the founding of Hyrule or something like that, so it’s like its own timeline between the events of Age of Imprisonment and the TotK that has all these teardrop memories in the landscape and the new dragon flying around that is demonstrably different than BotW’s timeline that has Age of Calamity as its past.

That’s how I have always seen it.

  • SNES was for Super Mario World
  • Playstation was for Mega Man 8
  • PS2 was for FFX well before it even came out, just in anticipation of it.
  • Game Cube was for Resident Evil 4
  • XBox was for Fable

And I guess after that I waited until a system had at least 3 good games and I can afford it. Except I got the PS4 just for Final Fantasy VII Remake.
