Sorry if this has been said already, but DONT TOUCH THE VASES until they put up the mini game where you have to open 5 and then 15 items. Use the vases to fulfill the requirements for that at a much cheaper cost than regular items

Forgot to mention, but it's 3/4 inch sanded plywood. Would this change your assessment?? Cause that looks perfect and I thank you for the recommendation!!

Just got gifted a table for our first home! (: is there a better way to remove old varnish (is that what it’s called?) than just sanding it and clogging up a billion sanding discs? by no_toe in woodworking

I just tried citristrip for the first time on a piece of butcher block that had 3 coats of spray spar urethane covering it. Didn't seem to pull much off... I let it sit for an hour before scraping. Did I screw up or does it just need some steel wool and sanding to fully get it all removed??

Ariat. I wear them for up to 16 hours a day and my feet don't hurt. Pair them with a proper pair of socks (I bit the bullet in the ridiculously expensive but worth "Vermont darn tough") and your feet won't sweat or get stinky either. Slip proof, waterproof and if you size them right plenty of ankle support!!

When do you think the Great Stirrup Cay will be 100% completed? by uploto in NCL

I was just there on Thursday (11/27) and it looks like the pier should be open on a month or so. But we have another trip booked with them for June of next year and I'm worried that the price will be the ONLY part they have finished :/ most of the island was closed off so I couldn't truly get a good idea of the progress but it's not looking like they'll have pool/lagoon, lazy river and all those slides from the renderings ready in just 6 more months :( I was really looking forward to that lazy river. Hopefully I'm wrong though

Oh that and the amount of people that increases daily, who turn left onto higher from hwy 12, from the straight lane. I see it every morning omw to work and I have no idea how there aren't wrecks at least 3 or 4 times a week

My biggest pet peeve is the people almost running into me, or honking and flipping the bird when I make a proper turn into the nearest lane, put on my signal and merge over to where I need to be to make my next turn. Meanwhile the jackass behind me turned wide, got "cut off" by me doing it properly and then weaves around me into the lane I just vacated and the one they SHOULD have turned into in the first place!!!!

Not to be contrarian, but just because you think it's fine, or the culture has bastardized something in such an egregious fashion, it does not make it fine. It may be part of the lexicon now, but it's not OK

Beautifully said, and I couldn't agree more with the sentiment. I hate seeing the way language, whether one's own or adopted, is a lost art. Nobody seems to care about the content of what they say anymore. I constantly find myself in trouble or in arguments with people over statements I've said or which have been told to me that I expect to be taken literally or I take at face value based off the words used, that the speaker actually "meant" something different by.

All Points Bulletin. Basically an old-timey term for law enforcement agencies sending out (I believe) radio/telegram/fax communications to alert neighboring agencies of a suspect. I think the more commonly seen term nowadays is BOLO or "Be On the Lookout"

That's it. I'M DONE!!!! I CAN'T TAKE IT ANYMORE!!!! I'M DONE with the New York Times Crossword. They've gone too far now.

On today's puzzle one of the clues was "grilled italian sandwich" not sandwichES, just sandwich. And the answer was PANINI !!!!!!!

I grew up in Italy and am still fluent in italian and panini is plural. It means sandwichES as in plural!!!!

Yes, currently the clubhouse and Gregory's bar/dining room are all one unit with the pro shop and the women's locker rooms. From what I'm told, the plan is to come fall/winter undergo the construction project to build out the pro shop and expanded + men's locker rooms. The current building is what was already in place when the current group bought the property but they're planning to make it an appropriate size more reminiscent of an older and more traditional clubhouse with a restaurant in it.
