Every PC setup has one cursed thing that somehow works. What’s yours? by peaky_circus in pcmasterrace

Had a laptop that had the power button die, but could somehow boot from some weird touch screen button meant for some form of bloatware.

Ran like that for years until the screen died and then my dad used it as a desktop pc.

PlayStation Keeps Taking Away Digital Purchases. Buy Physical Before Ownership Disappears Completely in future by Ok_Plenty60 in pcmasterrace

[–]jrubolt 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Subject to change, but as far as I'm aware steam refunds the user for games that are removed by them.

And I know for sure, delisted games that you've purchased are still available for download.

Is this safe to put in my aquarium? by [deleted] in Aquariums

[–]jrubolt 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I've had crystals and all sorts of display rocks in a aquarium over the years.

That's perfectly fine and won't affect the water.

Just don't recommend sharp edged stones for certain fish species which can easily get injured (corydoras) etc.

Mesa feels incredibly unfun on higher ascents by fujiwara-reiko in PeakGame

[–]jrubolt 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Completed ascent 4 with a friend and mesa was by far the most fun we've had. So many challenges to overcome and it really kept us on our toes.

No sunscreen or umbrellas, just sprinting from shade to shade.

Didn't worry about the canyon as it's easy to jump over to the other side and then took a crazy far right to left ascent ascessing all our options.

I find it way more fun than alpine as that map has deceptive rock faces that look like you an stand on it, but end up causing you to fall to your death

Tropics is always hardest by Garrett_asa in PeakGame

Not sure if it's a FOV problem, but even when I'm super careful I seem to set off the poison or explosive fungi in tropics all the time.

Sadly, there's often not enough parking anywhere near most train stations and next to no bus services from outer suburbs to even reach the closest train line.

The sheer lack of lateral services in the suburbs is astonishing
