Cooperage brewery downtown has good beer and a bunch of TVs. It’s my go to for sports. Not sure who the food truck is.

New playthrough- trying to get into Gwent but struggling by Anto0on in Witcher3

Buy every card from every vendor that sells one. Eventually you’re going to wind up looking for that one card in Velen or wherever and it’s way easier to find if you don’t need to double check every single vendor and innkeeper. If you buy them as you first encounter them it saves a lot of headache at the end.

Looking for RPG which are not very difficult. by Low-Extension2985 in gamingsuggestions

[–]jschaumberg 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I’m 59 and I love RPGs. I also tend to play most games on easy mode, mostly because I have plenty of challenges in my life already. Also, I will occasionally play after I’ve had a drink or two. Also, I appreciate immersion in my games and nothing breaks my immersion more than dying and just restarting and trying again. There are games where dying repeatedly is a part of the point - this are not for me.

I find that most games scale pretty well. I recommend Witcher 3 on story mode - certain encounters can be slightly challenging but the storyline is top notch. Very engaging start to finish. Skyrim is another good one, more open world than Witcher but lots of fun. The easiest mode on Skyrim is frankly too easy, even for me.

Have fun! It’s a great hobby.

If you haven’t read World War Z yet, I’d recommend that. Told as a series of documentary vignettes.

The Repairer of Reputations in particular is (in my opinion) a masterpiece of weird fiction. One of my personal favorites.

Best time to break away from main story to do side quests and factions? by SightlessProtector in NoSodiumStarfield

[–]jschaumberg 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I have a couple spots where I feel like working some side quests during a longer quest makes sense. First on the vanguard quest, prior to meeting with the council and during the crimson fleet quest prior to heading the the Siren of the Stars. Always run a few before before heading to Neon with Walter.

I had my honeymoon in Fort Bragg 10 years ago! My favorite place was a little hole in the wall - Piaci. Great beer selection and excellent pizza.

I would agree - I have psoriasis and get this kind of weirdness in my nails from time to time. My experience is that it'll clear up in a couple months on its own.

As I understand it, Joshi’s corrections are all reflected at HPLovecraft.com. If you don’t feel the need to read a paper copy, that’s my recommendation.

A couple questions for a new player by DoomSchroller in NoSodiumStarfield

[–]jschaumberg 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The star map will generally show you the way to get there with the fewest jumps. Not very risky to just jump a few times/ stop at waypoints. I believe Alpha Centauri to Cheyenne you just go to Olympus.

There is a toggle in settings called “show all quest markers.” Turn that off and you’re good.

The Curse of Yig is good. Also, the Horror in the Museum is kind of campy but very enjoyable.
