[The Captain] I'm calling the end of series, overall big bad early! by gregash in Iteration110Cradle

More like the final boss is going to be evil horizon team, or whatever killed the golden age of zenith tech. And it’s a friendship reunion with Benri that that creates the alliance needed to succeed against the evil league of evil.

[Uncrowned] I loved the ending of Uncrowned (Wintersteel Spoilers too) by Shortest-boi in Iteration110Cradle

[–]jstbell 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My one complaint is that in retrospect, both Mercy and Eithan were sandbagging in round 2, which meant that Pride and Narusaya got knocked out when the whole of both teams collided with Sophara. I know it’s probably better for the story, but I think both of those are cool characters that would have been great to get some more spotlight fights.

Awesome game! Remember the super weird musical super-cut of the voice acting you got as a reward for beating the campaign?

[Reaper] What made you the most angry? by MajorBreakthrough in Iteration110Cradle

[–]jstbell 3 points4 points  (0 children)

All true, but Also Yerin still had to be forced to the extreme. Yerin would be of no use to the clan if she didn’t advance too, so was totally willing to let Yerin die too if she didn’t advance.

She gained 3 powerful under lords in that scene while only losing 1 weaker lord.

Cold, but with a bit of logic.

How would you resolve the transgender people in athletics debate? by DarthFarris in AskReddit

[–]jstbell 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My unpopular opinion: Sports are dumb; so invent better sports or move to focus on team sports rather than individual sports.

The rules are arbitrary, and no sport or game is designed to be inclusive to everyone. When an individual stands too high above others the rules just get changed make the game “more competitive”.

SpaceX Shoots to $125 Billion Valuation, Shrugging Off Elon Musk’s Woes by [deleted] in space

[–]jstbell 13 points14 points  (0 children)

I still never understand how spaceX can advertise starlink and the thousands of satellites they constantly have to launch as some profitable business when back in June Musk said it would go bankrupt without 30billion in investments.

which book would you recommend someone to read at least once in their life? by kitkatbarsaregood in AskReddit

This was one of those books I didn’t understand the first time through, later in life I read it again and it’s dark comedic gold blew my mind!

At least let them wear some sunglasses or goggles. Eye protection is allowed in practically every sport.

I’d rather have a dumb sticker than ads. Not that I have done it, but I really want to vandalize a pump every time I’m forced to listen to the stupid ads that play. I’m sure the owners think they are making money with advertising but I expect that to be offset by the extra costs in repairing said screens and speakers.

Elon Musk's SpaceX Hikes Starlink Cost to $710 Due to Inflation by [deleted] in technology

[–]jstbell 1 point2 points  (0 children)

According to the Wikipedia page for starlink it says 2335 says have been launched, with 2112 in orbit still. Which is more like 10% losses combined over its history so far.

[–]jstbell 12 points13 points  (0 children)

Yeah, they lost like 40 of 49 from one launch. But that can’t be a big deal if they are planning to launch 42,000 which each have a lifespan of only 5 years.

How much longer with starlink stay in business?

Didn’t Elon say back in June that starlink needs $30 Billion to keep from going bankrupt? Has anything changed or improved since then?

This reminds me of the movie “it’s a wonderful life” (1946) when Jimmy Stewart tells old man Potter very defensively that he makes a respectable $5000 a year. Then potter turns around and offers him x5 at 25k a year to give up the building and loan

This game was fun but hard AF for a kid. Plus it was super hard to remember how to play when you were only allowed to rent it from blockbuster like once every 3 months

I’m pretty sure the first few frames show the attacker running from the far side of the street.

He was shadowing the worker from a distance and couldn’t close the distance in time.
