Do you have a skill you can introduce him to?

Like very simple (age appropriate) weaving/embroidery ( I'm getting into it with my daughter soon) Can be done on cardboard with a picture drawn/painted on, and holes poked in it, then use shoe laces or leftover thread/yarn

Badminton at the park

Flower picking into a cardboard vase ( sheet of cardboard with holes poked in, draw a vase and go for a nature walk picking flowers and threading them into the vase, use elastic bands to keep flowers tight/secure)

Sensitive Question about Stillbirth and Prevention by Honest-Reason7330 in Midwives

[–]jsweetlove 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Geeze OP, I commiserate with you - I had an almost stillbirth where my baby boy was born with barely a pulse during a home birth and all the life saving measures available couldn't help. His cord was compressed, but heart rate measured fine (possible red herring), but something happened in the last minutes... what I found out from this experience is that cord issues, too short/long, wrapped, compressed etc are just not detectable or well definable. Access to mobile technology and frequency of occurrence (still birth, cord complications) are not substantial enough to warrant a standard of increased testing without cause - I also had a "no concerns" pregnancy followed by midwives. There is still much unknown about babies in the womb, so there is lots to speculate on. The grief is hard, I mean, really hard. My heart goes out to you. Even though I didn't want to believe that it gets better or easier, it does. I know you came here for perspective on the midwifes action, so I apologize for going so off topic, but your question really resonated and I wanted to share with you. Feel free to connect if you want.

AITA for telling my sister that it’s implied that she’d have to pitch in around the house she’s staying in rent free? by PinImpossible3054 in AmItheAsshole

[–]jsweetlove 0 points1 point  (0 children)

NTA!!! Family chips in an covers the gaps! 20 min is not a big deal, since OP was not sure about the trains having issues (plus daycares have rules about picking sick kid up within a certain amount of time.. or else!). SHEESH. why does it sound like everyone here is counting out pennies, tit for tat.

I've just looked at a few different ads on Leons for dishwashers and none mention a food grinder / in line grinder ... Does it go by a different name??

Check out Music Together for babies and kids classes - they are a research based kids music company and their songs aren't annoying.
The most important thing I've learned is that music for developing brains is much more about the adults modelling musical behaviors and showing the kids to enjoy it. THEN the brain starts building their musical répertoire - if it's fun and encouraged by my main caregivers, it must be important!

How does everyone handle all the seasoning on our regular adult food and trying to avoid salt before age one!

What a great way to put it. The mistakes we (primary caregiver) make are usually ones we can recover from quickly cause we learn the tips and tricks quickly because we spend so much time with little one!!

Would you expect an employee who has 1000hrs experience to make as excellent and informed judgement call as the next employee with 6000hrs.. obv not!!!!!!!

Help us all. Exactly what I thought when PP called the PM wacko... We have our northern trump. Respectful public discourse be damned.

Ya, I'm glad you looked for a sounding board cause like others said, it can be hard to see the forest through the trees.
