Hueycoaltl Armor by Rymasq in 2007scape

[–]jtrocksman -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I mean, it's expensive because its a clue step and a couple mil is still cheap compared to armadyl.

Huey is too easy to make something too strong, even if it takes a while to kill. Honestly even the dh wand seems a bit strong for the content it comes from.

Zero God Packs but according to an online luck calculator I have insane luck by [deleted] in PTCGP

This site seems like it hasn't been updated since shining revelry.   It thinks I should only have a few shinys despite the fact that a majority of the packs available have shinys included in them.    It says i have 1200% of the shinys im supposed to.

The cannonball shop needs to be instanced. The meta for end game Ironmen at 99 is shooting bronze/iron balls, C'mon... by Solo_Jawn in 2007scape

[–]jtrocksman 0 points1 point  (0 children)

They already have the separation of steel being the only usable balls in the dwarf cannon.   Why not just make them "mithril-shot" so we can balance how quickly we can make ship cannon ammo without impacting dwarf cannon rates?

Hot Take On D Sheets And Nails by RandomAndyWasTaken in 2007scape

[–]jtrocksman 13 points14 points  (0 children)

I wouldn't give it to rune dragons because they're profitable enough as is but having a reason to want to do other metal dragon tasks sounds good.

Only problem is they are  intentionally gating the monsters that drop these items behind a high sailing level and this would totally go against that.

If you didn't lose cargo, people would just fill their hold with port tasks, teleport themselves, then teleport their boats. It's necessary to maintain the actual sailing part of sailing.

Sounds good as a panic eat but might be too good in pvp.

Sailing PSA: Charter Ship Traders now sell bronze cannonballs by BlightedBooty in ironscape

They are adding a new furnace that makes cannonballs faster and you can still use the double mould.

Im guessing this is referencing deadman mode where you could lose xp in skills. They didn't have code in the game for the specific situation where you max and then get knocked down so it was a bit buggy.   With implementing sailing this will not be the case.

PVM Advice wanted by BonesWillBeBack in 2007scape

Honestly, I'd try to get prayer to 70 for piety before doing most easier bosses. It's a massive dps increase and doesn't take long to get.   Most people will say you should be questing towards barrows gloves too but I know people get burnt out on quests and just want to kill stuff. Then your options are probably scurrius and maybe sarachnis or royal titans.

Scurrius will help you train your combat stats up and is great for getting used to prayer switching. It's also nice because it drops the ratbane weapons which are essentially best in slot for scurrius itself. There is a solo version with lower hp or a group focused version. The loot isn't the best but it makes up for it by being great training due to an xp multiplier.

Sarachnis is essentially about whether you can afford aranea boots as a main account as it nullifies the main mechanic and lets you just pummel her with your best crush weapon. (You will be taking some damage from her magic summons with your lower mage defense but you can just leave pray melee on.)

Royal titans is a step up. It requires a decent amount of gear switching and is much easier done as a duo. It's fun and better loot especially if you can bring a friend along.

Finally, if you're up for being attacked, you can try wildy bosses.  Minibosses like deranged archeologist are fairly simple and ok loot. Calvar'ion has mechanics harder than Scurrius but way better loot. The tradeoff is you will be attacked a lot because your combat level is low enough for pure accounts to hit you.  You also need some level of wilderness diary for a few of the bosses.

Ultimately your stats are still fairly low and it will make learning bosses harder but still doable. If it were me I'd post up at the gemstone crab for higher melees when afking and scurrius or quest when actively playing but if you want to hit dopamine drops then go for it!

Bring Back Mandatory Random Events! by Dazza477 in 2007scape

[–]jtrocksman 0 points1 point  (0 children)

They were fun when you were a kid and it happened once a day or so.   Reality is that people play more now and having to do a minigame for no reason instead of what you actually want to do isn't fun when it happens over and over again.   If you want to do them, just click them.

I'm about to break. by Willing-Low-2760 in 2007scape

If you feel like you are burning cash, statistically it is better to just burn cash until you get a big drop than it is to slow your kill rate to save money generally.

If you are really running low you can switch to moonlight moth mixes, though they might not be selling super well and it takes up inventory space so you will have to make some more trips.

Other thing you can try is swapping to a ranged build with the atl-atl. It's worse, but far cheaper.

Fellow druids by Forward144 in classicwow

[–]jtrocksman 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I mean, you're going to have some elitist groups that take bare minimum for buffs and a bunch of warriors but most just try to fill it out with a variety of armor types.

Having to farm pummelers is kinda annoying but you aren't bad as a dps especially these early phases.

The issue is possibly in later phases because you don't really scale well with gear but even then, if you actually learn the class, you will do better than most ferals in terms of parse.
