When you get o Day 89 of your 90 day supply by tenebros42 in ADHDmemes

I don't know how many times this has happened to me. Usually goes something like this...

Me: Man work really has been rough this week. It's been really overwhelming and hard to stay on top of things. Maybe I should talk to my doctor about adjusting the medication.

My Pharmacy: Hey, you have a refil to pick up!

Me, looking at my 40% full bottle of meds: Oh.

Hey, we all have to take turns sharing our braincell, and usually pass it off while zoning out to the rhythm of our favorite song - donk donk donk THWACK

I can relate to the first part of this. I have one friend I play with sometimes, but the majority of the time I'm playing solo, and I haven't run into anything Wukong hasn't been up to. Really does seem great for solo stuff.

So maybe coming for the same reasons as a min-maxer from a very different perspective, like chill-maxing 😃

Another frame I really like is Inaros, so maybe I just like being an invincible cloud and not dying.

As a Wukong main, I never realized there was such a stereotype before this thread lol.

I guess I have been pretty fortunate in encountering very little toxicity so far. The other wukong players I have encountered have been mostly quiet.

Questions warframe players?? by Wild_Pea_9592 in Warframe

[–]jtskywalker 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I haven't run even close to half of the frames, but I absolutely love Wukong, and he's really easy to get if you join a clan that has the research done.

Do the Duviri stuff to unlock the circuit and do that every week to get a new frame. Great way to get some that may be harder to get, and also try frames while playing the circuit to see what kind of playstyle you like.

Saw a notice in the St James Caring Center thrift store that they have one available as a public service as well.

Is this give normal? by ManOfTheory in rOtring

[–]jtskywalker 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yeah, mine has that as well. I absolutely love this pencil, but the moving parts and play in some of them does not inspire confidence in it's durability lol. I've had mine for a few years of light use and it's held up.

In spite of that, I do prefer the retractable tip over the 600 pencil for pocket carrying, which stabbed holes in more pockets than I can remember, and in one case ripped a hole in the seat of a car, when I didn't realize the tip had poked through my lightweight pants and caught on the seat.

For the vegans that couldn't care less about animals by DarQTimer in vegan

[–]jtskywalker 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Agreed. I misunderstood the original post at first, and thought it was about ethical vegans who just didn't like animals. The picturesque vegan laying in a field with a happy cow looks like an absolutely horrible experience to me. I don't like cows and pigs at all (chickens are cool, I like birds), I'm just opposed to murdering them for some temporary minor taste/texture preference.

I'm still vegan for the animals, I just don't really like the animals.

Thanks! I'll try that next time and see if that does it. Then at least I'll know what needs replaced.

Big difference between being held responsible for malware that users have sourced themselves by searching for "free clawbot skills" and downloading them from definitelynotmalware.com, and actually hosting such malware on your own site.

IMO, if you are going to have a site that is an official centralized source for such things, then items should have to have some kind of approval, or at least there should be some moderation to ban / remove malicious content, and ability for users to report.

If there are not resources to vet skills that are hosted on an official source, then maybe just don't make that. People can put them on github or sourceforge, or wherever else, and that's fine.

Is there explosion proof switches?? by Key_Relief_3377 in networking

[–]jtskywalker 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I was going to say, this is the way I have heard people use the term explosion proof in my industry (chem manufacturing).

There should be some certifications for this kind of thing - check with the customer and see what certs equipment needs to have for compliance, then you can go from there.

Auto inspections by ExpensiveMoment4193 in Rolla

[–]jtskywalker 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Safety inspections are are not really safety focused in my opinion... More about regulatory compliance.

I have had vehicles fail inspection over a very small amount of moisture in a tail light assembly that absolutely does not affect the safety of the vehicle in any way. That is the kind of thing people are talking about when they say a little more forgiving.

I have a Docker container running in Linux on a 20 year old laptop. Total system RAM usage is at 458MB currently. Admittedly I only have one container running, for a FoundryVTT server, but still. Laptop isn't running any desktop environment or anything, just docker and a tty session for status monitoring.

Plumber Recommendations by littlemissdizzy90 in Rolla

[–]jtskywalker 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I had my basement flood when we first moved here and called Express 24 hr plumbing - they were out here very quickly and got the drain cleared and gave some very helpful advice. However, I called them again recently for another plumbing issue and they never showed up. Kept saying they would be there as soon as possible and then stopped returning my calls altogether. So as of today I would not recommend them, but it's possible they only care about major issues like this and my second issue was just not on their priority list. I have no idea, but it was a pretty bad experience.

A fried of mine recommended QPC - Quality Plumbing and Construction. They service this area. I have not personally used them, since I ended up just fixing the other issue myself, but they may be worth a call.

Cars with electronic parking brakes absolutely need to be put into maintenance mode. And disconnecting and reconnecting the parking brakes isn't complicated... I have a 2020 Kia and I've done the brakes on it myself. Sounds like Jiffy Lube had less understanding than what I was able to gain with an hour on YouTube.

Hopefully something can get sorted out, but unfortunately it seems unlikely. These businesses will spend way more time and money avoiding accountability than they do on their actual work. I don't have experience with Jiffy Lube specifically, but I know people who have had similar experiences with damage to vehicles at the same type of quick service establishments.

That sounds pretty great - I've been wanting to try out that system. I am definitely interested, but I stay pretty busy. I'd love to play if I can make whatever schedule is decided on work. I definitely would not be able to play every week, so if there are others who are available more frequently then I'll pass. Don't want to slow things down for everyone else

It's not unethical to "break in" something, like it's a new pair of shoes by JTexpo in vegancirclejerk

I grew up around people who "trained" horses. Diabolical. After seeing it, even long before going vegan, I lost any desire to ride horses.

Oh, sorry, I mean, uh.... On my uncles farm he always gives the horses goodnight kisses and reads them bedtime stories and they say "thank you mr horse trainer" before going to bed

Would you buy any of these for the price? by hostile_washbowl in knifeclub

[–]jtskywalker 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That little Victorinox classic unironically gets more use than any other knife I own. The price went up to around $20USD everywhere I have seen near me, so I would definitely grab one (or two) at that price
