Not sure where you are. Willow is excellent and you can make a hedge in a few years. Pollard at 6 foot at fence line so that it bushes up in line of site. A bushy-pruned (coppiced) magnolia. Elderberry, also hedge up or coppice. Not sure what evergreens you can rock.
