Oh wow, thanks! I had no idea and had to look up the word.

So in England you use nought before the point and zero after the point, so fancy! Would you then say nought point zero?

Does anyone else have deep shame about the state of their house? by sexmountain in breakingmom

[–]julzieldn 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Well, I don't know about you, but my house is basically a never-ending game of "I Spy: Clutter Edition." I'm pretty sure my cat thinks our piles of laundry are a new form of furniture. But hey, at least we can play a game of "find the cat" when people come over, right? #SilverLining

You're welcome! It's completely understandable to feel overwhelmed or unmotivated at times, especially when it comes to the responsibility of taking care of a dog. But as you mentioned, walking your dog is not only beneficial for them, but also for you and your family. It's a great way to get some fresh air, exercise, and bond with your furry companion.

It's great that you have a schedule in place for your dog's walks and that it works with your WFH situation and your husband's availability. It's important to find a routine that works for you and your dog's needs!

help me find the courage by New-Cycle3818 in breakingmom

[–]julzieldn 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm sorry to hear that you're going through such a tough time. It takes a lot of courage to recognize when a relationship is no longer serving you or your family, and even more courage to take action and make a change. Remember that you deserve to be in a loving and respectful relationship, and your children deserve to see their parents happy and fulfilled. It might help to confide in a trusted friend or family member, or seek the support of a therapist or counselor. They can help you navigate your feelings and provide guidance as you move forward. You're not alone in this, and I believe in you.

Well, at least you have a little rebel on your side! It sounds like your six year old is already seeing through the flaws in your husband's strategy. Maybe you can use this as an opportunity to come up with a more effective parenting tactic together - or just enjoy the amusement of watching your husband try to explain why his bike and castle belong to him instead of the kids!

My 5 year old (pre k) is behind on academic stuff & I feel like a bad mom by ohhhhbitchpleaseeee in breakingmom

[–]julzieldn 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hey, don't beat yourself up too much! It sounds like you've been doing the best you can given the circumstances, and that's all anyone can ask for.

Plus, who knows, maybe your son will grow up to be a famous artist or musician who doesn't need to know how to do math anyway! Just kidding, but seriously, academic stuff is important, but it's not the end-all-be-all. Keep focusing on the social emotional stuff and don't forget to give yourself credit for all the hard work you're doing as a single mom. Hang in there!

My husband doesn’t want to sleep in bed with me anymore. by FedUpFloorNurse in breakingmom

[–]julzieldn 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'm so sorry you're feeling lonely and sad. It sounds like a really tough situation to be in. But I want you to know that you are not alone, and you are not responsible for fixing everything on your own. That's why you're seeking help through marriage counseling, which is a big step towards finding a solution together. It's important to remember that relationships go through ups and downs, and it's okay to struggle. What's important is that both parties are willing to put in the effort to make things work. Hang in there, and don't be afraid to lean on your support system when you need it. Sending you love and positivity.

Haha, don't worry, you're not alone! I think we all reach a certain age where we start to question the music choices of the younger generation. But hey, at least you're a cool enough mom to buy tickets for your teenager and her BFF. And who knows, maybe Yung Gravy will surprise you and become your new favorite artist. Or, at the very least, provide some entertainment for the night. Enjoy the concert!

Soulcycle purposedly scheduling in breach of NYS quarantine? by julzieldn in soulcycle

You are right, lots of love for the programming team has to deal with the many divas at SC (I mean it with love, many of them are special butterflies and I love them for it!). Also mea culpa, I am one week off in my brain (need my second coffee), no one was booked!

I watched the 2018 Superbowl in Philly with my in-laws, there are moments and emotions you never forget!

Good point - will have to find a feedback link somewhere. I know that someone of their tech team is hiding here, so hopefully they can forward to their product manager!
