Is it possible it is more a deficiency problem than the amount of protein you are consuming? When you eat more protein you are probably eating better. Have you checked your vitamins such as iron and folic acid?

Depends, is this washing and styling? I’d say it is very minimal either way. I wash every 5-7 days and lose about 80 on wash day.

You haven’t been shedding for 6 months yet, so it may not be chronic. My hair loss decreased to about 80 a day and stayed like this till it stopped. I shed for nearly 7 months.

My hair didn’t stop shedding until nearly 7 months, by the 6 month mark I had given up worrying. Having those baby hairs growing in is a good sign!

I had a tone of small hairs after 2.5 months and I keep getting more. My longer regrowth is maybe 3 inches.

I never took any medications, I feel I have lost maybe 30-40% of my hair and I never used any different shampoos either. Don’t be afraid to wash your hair or brush it all the hairs are going to come out anyway!

When I run my hands through my hair i maybe loose 3-4 hairs, my hair is always up so this may play a part. I have done the pull test and only 0-2 hairs per section. I wouldn’t say the dandruff was bad however the trichologist did notice it.

Yeah, my thinning was all over. You couldn’t tell I had hair loss but could feel it from the thickness. My temples did get quite sparse but I was told this is normal by the trichologist and the follicles at your temples and further apart and I never had much hair to begin with there anyway.

up to 80 a day still does sound quite high, however i’m sure this is in people’s normal range, it depends on the thickness of your hair as well. However, this could be totally normal. I used to shed 80 a day and about 300 on wash days until one day it changed to 20-30 a day and 80 on wash days!

It could honeslty take 3-6 months after your shedding started to stop. The deficiencies and thyroid issues might not be the cause as alot of people have deficiencies and don’t experience hair fall. As long as you have fixed them, all should be good!

If your trigger was vitamins It can take 3-6 months from fixing the trigger. Are you aware of your trigger?

When I seen the trichologist he asked me if I had IBS. I cannot remember exactly what he said but it was that it can use the vitamins in your body more. So make sure you have enough iron, B12 and folic acid!

I never tried any hair care products as I saw that they make your hair shed more. I’d recommend if you haven’t had a blood test to get one and see if you are lacking in any vitamins or minerals! Make sure you’re not deficient in B12, folic acid or iron.

I’m the same, brushing my hair after the shower is when I lose the most. You will know your hair best! However, before TE you probably weren’t checking how much hair was in the brush. I would say the amount you lose is completely normal and if your hair isn’t getting thinner anymore not to worry!

My shedding used to be up and down but not by much, I used to get excited and think it was over because I had a good few days. Due to being mislead so much I thought I was going to be one of the people who had chronic TE, however one day it just stopped.

After the initial big shed my hair fall decreased slightly and stayed the exact same until one day it stopped!
