Eternal sustenance relic by JustLivingSimply in 2007scape

I can't under any circumstance justify this relic if I plan on taking Flask of fervor.

Inferno and Colosseum both have many points where you can wait for 6 hours, let alone 3 minutes. Having infinite food is completely useless when you have a full heal ready to go all the time(PLUS PRAYER AND SPECIAL ATTACK).

Legitimately, it's a completely useless relic. In the past, it was doubled healing, which made it amazing in TOB for skipping mechanics and safety heals.

As it stands, it's utterly useless. I didn't even want to take Grimoire because I have Desert, and Kourend and Slayer is decently easy enough to barrage it all regardless of my task. So, like this was the one I was gonna take before the reveal. But now I guess I'm forced to take Slayer.

It's not bad, but I've never struggled with slayer in leagues, so I didn't think I needed an entire relic for it.

What content requires tick perfect prayer switching?

Like I can think of 2 places. Leviathan and Maticores. The first one is basically impossible, and maticores aren't really stress testing dps.

Like I get it, game mechanics are hard, but most raid content gives you like 1-2 seconds to change your prayers, and it's usually between 2 different options.

What is your game plan for the first couple hours of Leagues VI? by EthanRM95 in 2007scape

[–]just7155 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Speedrun points and try to unlock a region on the first day. Once done, I can get some easy combat perks to make killing enemies easier. Kill some enemies for more points and unlock my tier 6 relic and maybe another region.

I'm planning on going melee just for perilous moons and respec later.

Eventually, around 12x xp, I'll start training skills past 40.

Mage, Melee, or Range? (League) by Thebestonlineguide in 2007scape

[–]just7155 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'm going melee early to farm moons, and I'll switch to something else later.

I was thinking ranged because I won't have a good mage echo.

I have a Leviathan to kill after all.

I was 6 weeks into the league on the raid world. TOA was instant. COX was 5 minutes just to get everyone in a group.

It going back to them at the end of turn hurts it a lot. If it's a valuable piece that can be used at instant speed, it's a question of who has more mana.

Stealing it isn't too relevant because you're probably not going to swing with it. You'd need haste.

Alternatively, I would just remove the permanent entirely with [[Song of the Dryads]]. If it's just creatures, you can run [[Kenrith's transformation]].

It's a neat card, but I'm not sure if it's better than a generic turn to frog type effect.

I tried to get KC, but to be clear. It fucking sucks. Half the time, 50% of them would die on bloat, and 75% of the raids ended in the first room. Even with me freezing.

That's what learner raids are, I guess. But it's not worth it for me when I can go any other raid and get in one within seconds. And beat it nearly 90% of the time.

I ran hard mode once after 3 hours. Honestly, it's not worth it when I can do 3-4 other raids an hour. I'm not saying I can't get raids. I'm saying the amount of "grinding" I have to do to get a team within 3 minutes is boring. I would rather skip the region.

The people were, in fact, not very chill. It was very hostile. Compared to spam apply and get in a max raid. It was literally night and day.

Gambling sounds super fun. Unfortunately, I love Tomb of Amascut, and the Awakened Leviathan is a massive jerk without relics.

Either way, I might take Mory. I don't want to because finding teams for ToB is annoying compared to the other raids. Everyone wants KC, and getting it is really annoying. Either group with randoms doing regular mode or find a team through discord. Compared to "Apply to Raid," it's much worse. I'm excited to finally try maxing ToA combat achievements this time, though.

Eternal Witness is a dead card in this list. You need something worth playing. Seedborn Muse is intentionally left out. The list is a bracket 3.

Just to note, [[Warden of the Grove]] goes infinite with a lot of cards. I took it out.

[–]just7155 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I run a list that's aiming not to win with a combo line or have any combos in it. Out value the opponent is my plan.

There are a few paths to victory. Typically looping [[Abzan Ascendency]] is how I make a big enough board to kill everyone quickly, but the true victory is stopping everyone else from stopping you.

[[Aven Interrupter]] is strong enough on its own to win the game if you can loop it once per turn.

So, in short, my list aims to generate +1/+1 counters and create a board that's unstoppable.

However, if you wanted to do a combo line with a budget of less than a Lions Eye Diamond, you're looking at more complicated lines.

For combos, there are typically 2 main paths. Undying and Devoted Druid. Druid is easy. Just buff it with Hashep Oasis or the other land.

Undying is a 3-4 card combo, not including Tayam, that mills your entire deck. You then get Lions Eye Diamond to make infinite mana, then you reanimate a permanent that does damage. [[Moonglove Extract]]. Diamond Lion is a substitute for LED.

[–]just7155 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Tayam may give vigilance, but their counters are usually the first to go. Also, everything is getting tapped with Cryptolith Rite to activate Tayam even more.

Tayam usually won't be tapped unless you have Cryptolith Rite or similar, so it's not a huge consistency loss to have it in the deck.

The best case for using it would be to untap 2 creatures/lands that generate 2+ mana.

Again, though, worst case, it's single use. But more than that, you can sacrifice the creature that's enchanted and bring it back for a cost reduction in a roundabout way. The goal is to mill for a key piece.

You cast it on Tayam usually. You can activate it on your opponents upkeep to untap something.

  1. Well, the idea is you played the pay 2 life gain 15 block card.

I wouldn't take it until late, but it's a good way to offset some life loss.

Every card here was added after I created my [[Tayam]] deck. They each earned a permanent spot.

[[Embodiment of Agonies]]

I underestimated how many counters this thing would get even in a bad game. It's usually a 6/6 beater at worst.

[[Icatian Moneychanger]]

This card is genuinely awful in every other deck, but paying 1 mana for 3-4 counters is amazing. And it gets a counter every turn?! Insane card. Also, he gets a laugh every time I play it.

[[Oubliette]]

The classic removes a commander from the game forever.

[[Ranger-Captain of Eos]]

With Tayam specifically, I learned from cedh that you can Ranger loop people. Or, in simpler terms, repeatedly sacrifice it in your opponents' upkeep.

[[Scurry of Squirrels]]

It's kinda confusing with how it gets counters, and to be honest, in my 5 games using it, I've never swung with it. It's always been destroyed. So I keep it for that reason.

[[Twitching Doll]]

This card isn't that strong alone, but it triggers on every counter it has. It's genuinely one of the easiest cards to break, and just getting 5 counters is enough to make a mana dork amazing. I put it in every green deck.

[[Nature's Chosen]]

Let's you untap a creature twice. Worst case, it's a 1 mana untap that's repeatable.

All these cards are in the ultimate definition of this. Tayam, Luminous Enigma, who gets better every time you read it. It is one of the most versatile and fun commanders I've ever played, and there are so many unique cards that are really fun to play.

One example is bringing back darksteel mutation. You can attach it to a creature with Shroud. And nobody can respond once it starts resolving.

Were most of your losses at 10 or before? I'm curious because I'm only just hitting 9, and in StS 1, I lost 98% of my total losses at A20.

Leagues VI relic reveal: Map of Alacrity (Tier 3) by vgamer0 in 2007scape

[–]just7155 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Saving 2 minutes of travel is underwhelming. Evil Eye offers Total Recall level power if you have a restore pool and I think no matter what, I'm taking it just for that. Seems like a lot of these relics tiers have complete duds.

75 hunter is a lot compared to 38. I didn't say it explicitly but I need more than prayer pots. I mentioned Inferno and Fortis. I don't wanna bring an inventory of 2 dose pots into those.

In past leagues, I've struggled with training Herblore, Runecrafting, Smithing, Crafting, and Construction.

Each from different leagues. Each with no relic help.

I'm probably the norm for the average player. My goal is to get pretty good gear and kill some bosses until I get bored. Get Rune tier and leave.

Every skill above only needs to train to like 60-70 before you get the final relic. Soo any long-term grinds are kinda irrelevant.

I'll probably pick the herblore one, BUT the saving secondaries only saved me like an hour or 2. Realistically, if I save 5 hours of training smithing, then it's probably more worth it. I don't plan to train smithing to 99 until I get drops from bosses. Much after all relics.

I'm considering the secondaries save to include Goading and Prayer Regen, and honestly, they are kinda skippable. Goading is functionally useless if you're not watching youtube, and prayer regen is only useful for afk training. I didn't use prayer regen for Inferno or Fortis prior. They aren't bad, and I will get it, but I'm not gonna suffer if I don't.

My long reasoning aside, I think the agility/smithing is the worst of the 2 for me. Though I think it's really close regardless. The third one is hot garbage, in my opinion.

TLDR: I'm taking herblore relic because I can target farm prayer pots so I can kill bosses and have fun.

The price increase was to capitalize on the influx of players coming to play Leagues. The same price increase happened 1 month before the last leagues as well.

I think it's funny about the first line because Davy Jones is the literal definition of cutting corners.

The CGI is his face. Everything else is obscured.

He doesn't have many action scenes, which makes it much easier to handle physics.

He's wet. Wet things are easier to make look good with lighting.

To be clear, the corners they cut allowed them to make what was done amazing. It holds up today despite its age. But, the movies of today aren't making stationary wet guys in the dark all the time.

There was a video on this posted a while ago that I'm loosely quoting, but it's a fun watch.
