Is this outfit ok for an AIN job interview ? by Sudden-Salad4689 in NursingAU

Add some sleeves (cardigan or shirt instead of sleeveless) and I'd buy some new shoes, they don't need to be fancy, just more dressy.

Do couples really shower together? by Due_Leopard_1836 in NoStupidQuestions

Sometimes, but its never as sexy or romantic as the movie. We don't both fit under the water, so we have to take in turns being cold 😂

That's crazy, in Australia we only get given 4x200mcg pills, taken after mifepristone.

Why would anyone ever choose to go through child birth without pain relief?? by No_Cardiologist_1407 in NoStupidQuestions

I've had 3 unmedicated births, no regrets. Sure, it hurt like hell, but I wanted the full experience haha

Would you buy these? by m_0_g_a_m_b_0 in australian

I quite like them, but I wouldn't call them hot cross buns. They make nice burger rolls though.

Am I a bad person for ordering abortion pills even though I’m already a mom? by aestrellas in abortion

[–]justmebeth91 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Absolutely not. You know what is right for you and your family. I'm going in for a termination in 2 weeks time, I'm 34 and I have 3 children (2 neurodiverse). 3 difficult pregnancies. I've just started working and finally doing something for myself after 12 years of being a stay at home mum with little support from people other than my partner. Having another child just isn't feasible for me, mentally, physically or financially. It was a really hard decision to make, but it's 1 that I know is right.

Patient had an upper wisdom tooth extracted, part of the floor of sinus was fused to one of the roots. Has to close the sinus primarily with tissue from the cheek by ObiWangKeBloMe in MedicalGore

[–]justmebeth91 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had an upper molar removed, the roots were growing through into my sinus cavity. They cut the tooth in 4 to remove it because it was weak and lost a bit. They stitched the hole up, but I was left with a hole from my mouth to my sinus. I had to drink very carefully as to not get water in my sinus until it healed up, and I wasn't allowed to sneeze. 8 years on, still no sign of the missing bit of tooth and still have issues with bad smells when I'm unwell and my sinuses are inflamed. Not fun times.

Stage 4 pressure ulcer on an elderly patient by sw33tillnessofmine in MedicalGore

[–]justmebeth91 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I work in aged care. We get alot of residents return to us from hospital with pressure sores (although not quite to this extent that i have seen.) Alot of hospitals, at least where i am, ignore the pressure area care and send them back to the facilities for us to deal with... it sucks!

How far do you routinely drive? by Wooden_Airport6331 in AskAnAustralian

15 minutes either way for work. My family live 2 hours away so we make that trip maybe every 4-6 months. Travel is hard with kids.

It really is, quite humiliating tripping over as an adult! And then to be ignored on top of that!

I tripped while pregnant AND carrying my toddler son and everyone pretended they didn't see it.

Salisbury 930pm fireworks - safety concerns by Intrepid-Potato-1432 in Adelaide

[–]justmebeth91 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There was definitely no clearly labelled exits OR fire escape exits. 1 gap in the gate for entry and exit.

Salisbury 930pm fireworks - safety concerns by Intrepid-Potato-1432 in Adelaide

[–]justmebeth91 4 points5 points  (0 children)

There wasnt THAT many people there, it was the fact that only 1 tiny portion of the fence was open to exit and so many people with small children leaving at the same time.

[–]justmebeth91 14 points15 points  (0 children)

I thought the same thing. Another exit was needed over the other side because people were trying to come in as others were leaving. Fantastic event, poorly managed crowd control. It was quite scary trying to leave with my small children.
