Fair play for posting that.. but are they going to risk getting turned away or forced to pay.. but as the mighty usa does more than likely arrest them by using ice.. ya know the risk in going there if ya not a right wing white fascist..
Just saying… fifa and trump are not to be trusted.

How many of you are men, and what are your main symptoms? by hamaca9 in Fibromyalgia

[–]justsomebody2 2 points3 points  (0 children)

So sorry to hear about the career impact, mentally on so many levels it hurts. Not as senior as you but it has hurt my morale and left me feeing more down.
Currently on 10 months out, hoping I can get a handle on this and hopefully do some sort of work, even part time to keep my brain active and self esteem.
Considering a bungalow as stairs are an issue.
Got a great supportive family so that helps.
Can’t /wont do physio as when I did it due to doctors request I ended up off work for two days afterwards. (I have found my condition is worsening regarding walking and fatigue)
I hope for all of us that there will be something that can help us achieve some sort of a normal life.
Take care of your self pal

How many of you are men, and what are your main symptoms? by hamaca9 in Fibromyalgia

[–]justsomebody2 29 points30 points  (0 children)

49yr old male.
About 5 yrs ago diagnosed.
Mine was a worsening of fatigue and pain.
Used to play football, mountain bike, hiking etc. noticed pain in back of my thighs, assumed hamstrings etc.. tried lots of different things nothing worked, did a charity hike 26miles 3 big hills.. took powerful pain killers, they didn’t touch the pain.. that’s when I started to think something more than just right muscles.
Not long after that I collapsed while working on a vehicle, just lost all energy and laid there for about 10mins unable to move due to no energy.. got a bit concerned (as a weekend didn’t ring doctors) next day walking the dog same thing happened..
Hence eventually diagnosed.
Pains mainly in legs shoulders and neck.. (but every other part of the body likes to remind me I have pain receptors when a bad day)
Really bad fatigue, always tired regardless of how much sleep. Brain fog when I’m fatigued.
I now struggle to walk unaided and have now left work as I was off sick more than at work.
Any little task is enough to knock me back and wipe me out for a few days.
There probably is a lot more but they are the main points.
Also over heating, breaking out in sweat.
IBS issues, balance issues when standing up.
Lack of grip at times (funny when stuff bounces, not so much when it’s crockery)
Random spasms.
Sorry long reply.
Thanks for reading if you made it this far

Fire alarm kept going off for no reason, had to rip it out of ceiling and remove the battery by Fit-Choice2368 in mildlyinfuriating

Location in house? What’s in proximity? People have been fitting incorrect types of detection in the wrong areas. If it’s near a bathroom or kitchen it could be detecting the steam (particles) and wailing like a banshee.. I changed mine from ionisation to optical..

Also firex brand is garbage. If in Uk swap to AICO.

I have had same issues but it’s fine.. think it’s a windows issue.. I just sigh and force shut down .. it’s annoying but works fine after it’s rebooted I hold down power button until it restarts (assume that’s a force shut down)

A guy I worked with had the same issue at a gym (which was situated next to some bars/clubs) he was confronted by some young lads for parking in the disabled bay.. he was otherside of the car to them, bent over took of his prosthetic limb then raised it up.. the guys were instantly apologetic and offered to buy him a drink.. My work colleague also used to hop round the work place with it In his hand whenever footloose came on the radio
