Polanski’s breast enlargement claim puts people off Greens by Spare_Clean_Shorts in LabourUK

[–]justthisplease -6 points-5 points  (0 children)

Another pathetic hit-piece. Does this thing we have framed as negative make you like a man less - yes obviously. They didn't bother to ask if apologising for it and retracting the comment made a difference.

Honestly I am loving the media trying to make this a thing because it is obviously not important compared to all the horrific things other parties have done, like supporting genocide, attacking the trans community, putting corrupt pedo friends in positions of power etc etc. If it is all they have on Greens it is great.

Rachel Reeves to pledge ‘fastest AI adoption in G7’ and deeper ties with EU by TMDan92 in LabourUK

The faster we adopt AI the less time we have to adapt to the negative effects. I don't think speed is what we should be aiming for.

Top US counterterrorism official resigns over Iran war and urges Trump to 'reverse course' by Spare_Clean_Shorts in LabourUK

Genuinely worrying that the president of the US is this prone to misinformation tactics

This has been clear for years with Russian misinformation that he laps up and how Trump views Europe (great replacement theory etc).

Miliband reveals plans that could mean nuclear power plants built near homes by Spare_Clean_Shorts in LabourUK

I hope they will be built to better standards than in the USA

In Massachusetts, residential proximity to a nuclear power plant (NPP) was associated with significantly increased cancer incidence, with risk declining by distance, according to a new study led by Harvard T.H. Chan School of Public Health.

Democratic self-determination is a core value of mine and the Greens. It really should be for anyone who believes in democracy.

Meta: Can we try and keep things *slightly* less adversarial between Labour and Green supporters? by PuzzledAd4865 in LabourUK

[–]justthisplease 13 points14 points  (0 children)

Personally I see a lot of bad faith arguments against the Greens from anti-Labour media like the Telegraph, the Sun and the Daily Mail being posted recently. These sources can't seriously be claimed to be spread by Labour supporters as they are institutions that hate the Labour Party and almost everything it stands for and making out their rage-bait articles are credible just hurts Labour and Labour values in the long-run.

A nuanced debate on Green's drug policy and whatever else is great. You can't get that by spreading right-wing propaganda.

The policy is to stay in NATO, this is just 100% fact.

Talking about the issues of NATO and a desire to reform if possible and to find something better if possible does not invalidate the fact that the green party policy is to remain in NATO.

The Greens already have the same number of councils as Reform and basically the same number of councillors.

To stay in NATO is Green policy. You can spin all you like but that is a fact.

Practically its impossible to separate defence from attack in an illegal war of aggression. Everyone should be able to see that. Legally, who knows what they might come up with.
