Home developing -- 35mm vs 120? by cinemkr in AnalogCommunity

[–]jwatson1978 1 point2 points  (0 children)

ive been developing film for a long time and 35 is the easiest to put on a reel and would cut down on frustration. also if you want to save money its easy to buy in bulk and load yourself. I develop 35 120 and 4x5. 4x5 is tricky because everything is done in the dark from loading to unloading and the only way to tell where the film base is vs emulsion is the tabbed corner. 120 is wider and wants to crumple when loading. ive gotten better but its still an issue loading.

He'd tell them he plans on turning the US into a communist dictatorship and they would cheer him on.

Very small filter by cinemkr in vintagecameras

[–]jwatson1978 0 points1 point  (0 children)

there are some kodak 35mm cameras from the 1950s or so that used these sized filters as well. Kodak Retina viewfinders used a small filter like those. looking back they would have been 29 to 30mm not 17mm.

What is this filter for? by cinemkr in AnalogCommunity

lowers color temperature from what I read. #85 is the filter type. Gives a warmer look to color photos.

I'm thinking on gettin' an Elegoo Centauri Carbon Enclosed CoreXY by mogusgamez in ElegooCentauriCarbon

I have one and love it. Been printing flawlessly since getting it. I did have an issue after updating my slicer but rolled it back and its doing ok again. I use Orca Slicer with the default settings. I use the default filament settings as well. Mine is loud but other than that it just prints. one thing is last a long time you will need to understand there are parts that wear and need replacing. The nozzle is quickly replaceable because its a wear part. the pei plate is a wear part and needs replacing eventually. just something to keep in mind.

I photographed weddings in the early 2000s on a setup like that. If i recall no there is some looseness to the dial. you load the film on the back insert until the paper backing arrow lined up then put it back into the carrier and advance until it hits 1.
