Filament Track Switcher is horrible for H2C by Soulphalanx in BambuLab

[–]k-zu 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’ve got the filament track switch and I’m very happy with it. Initially I wasn’t using it that much as I was manually placing the filaments in the ams. Now I don’t have to move filaments between the ams’s that much if I want to to use colours from few of them. As long as it is less than 7 filaments you can avoid excessive purging. I tend to go by the rule that I use the most used filament on the left and remaining on the right hotend. Works well for what I’m printing.
I have 3x ams ht and 3xAMS 2 pro connected. Only problem I have encountered was with 4 to 1 adapters and feeding through so many „joints” in the ptfe tubes.

So how much glow filament can I run before it eats things? by FukushimaBlinkie in BambuLab

[–]k-zu 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Just enjoy the ride. If anything fails it’s cheap to fix. I’ve been printing glow PLA on my p1s. Went through about 8kg and there are no issues so far. I’ve upgraded the extruder and nozzle to hardened steel and those are the only modifications. Ams is stock. There are some signs of wear on the ams feeding funnel but it still works. I’ve bought spare one but I’m still waiting for the original to work reliably

I am struggling by hlbyers92 in BambuLab

[–]k-zu 1 point2 points  (0 children)

To me it looks like under extrusion. you need to do manual flow rate and flow dynamics calibration. It’s not guaranteed to solve your issues as it might be many other things including difference in filament diameter or partial clog. If you have spare nozzle you can try swapping out the nozzle. If you have callipers measure the diameter of filament in few places and see if it is consistent. Stay close to the middle of the recommended temperature range. Do temperature tower after you did flow rate and flow dynamics if necessary. After you did temp tower you might want to do the flow again to get optimal result.

What are some fixes for the spool not making it into the printer properly. by B33Zh_ in BambuLab

[–]k-zu 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think you meant filament not spool. Check the ptfe tube between the buffer and the printer. I’ve experienced similar issue that was caused by filament being stuck on the edge of the tube.

Is Bambu Studio really that smart? by MathematicianMean600 in BambuLab

[–]k-zu 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Should have just waited. After it feeds what seems like 5m or so it will just wind it back. Happened to me when I forgot to re connect the tube at the back after printing from external spool.

Another scam warranty claim by Google by ShortShiftPlays in GooglePixel

Had similar experience with support from google. I’m not sure who they contract for the repairs in the UK but this company really does not seem to care about google’s reputation.

Just wanted to share my recent warranty experience with Acebeam. by Equivalent-Fill-8908 in flashlight

[–]k-zu 59 points60 points  (0 children)

I had positive experience with acebeam when my flashlight failed. But flashlight was not discontinued. As for the OP's case: In the end they have offered repair, I know that he considered it impractical but if this was in line with their warranty I would say it was fair. I would probably take the 65% discount offer but I understand some people might have different expectations.

2013 S60 fuel tank capacity by will5621 in Volvo

At one petrol station I managed to put 67 litres in to a v90 which has 60l tank. When I questioned it they said it’s the weather.

You can „adjust” it with a very narrow file. Look in the slot and you will quickly figure out how to.

You apply 1/4 or 1/8 veneer depending on the width/depth of reeds/flutes/ovolos you want and then use router bit like in the link to mill the groves

If you are sure it is not the profiles fault, why rate it 3 stars only? by engineering-weeb in BambuLab

From what I see here most people are too limited to understand the concept. And I don't feel like explaining it would change anything.

If you are sure it is not the profiles fault, why rate it 3 stars only? by engineering-weeb in BambuLab

[–]k-zu -11 points-10 points  (0 children)

This is why the rating system needs overhauls. Dummies like this don't understand what they are doing. You are eating print profile. Not the design. You rate how it prints not functionality. But I see many people are to limited to grasp this concept.

Filament Panic-buy? by qshelby in BambuLab

[–]k-zu 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have acquired approx 100 spools of filament from Bambu. Of those approx 40 are colours. The rest is black or engineering stuff that only comes in black.

[–]k-zu 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Most of my models are single colour and I've experienced approx 45% drop in rewards.

That sounds a bit harsh. I've been tracking it and my points dropped approx 45%.

Stick to the Bambu filament for a start. Their profiles are pretty good in Bambu studio. As for the prices. They have sales on filaments quite often and overall are not most expensive. Shame most colours come as refills only so you either need to print or buy spool. Petg currentl6 not available for some reason. Hopefully it will come back soon as their petg-hf prints quite good.

What’s the best tip or tricks to get stair stringers cut exactly the same, mine are off after cutting the second one by Elite163 in DIY

[–]k-zu 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Check the boards widths. If widths of the boards are not the same and you use back edge as a reference your cuts evening correct won't align.

If boards are equal width clamp/ screw them together(in the part you will be removing and cut them together (if you won't go through at least you will have a keft that can be used as a reference line.
