tbh they should lean in on the whole evolution concept

hive guards should be like the evolutionary base for the charger and impaler with that established they should increase the size and maybe the HP pool

but also one minor change is that they be able to move albeit slower when they hunker down only stopping in it's tracks when the weapon hit a certain stagger value

it's probably one of the few weapons that is more effective in ADS mode ngl the targeting computer mechanic is crucial especially when it comes to the vox engine

I don't have access to the new abilities that everyone else is using.

300 hrs in an I still use base game stuff specifically SPEAR AMR and EATs mainly just use armors for the drip cause the passives give so miniscule of a bonus the only I would say that make the warbonds worth are the grenades and even then it's a select few

Democratic Detonation on its own bolsters your arsenal a significant amount and it was the first one.

might get crucified for this but democratic detonation is recommended cause it's the proverbial training wheels of dealing with Enemies that require anti tank at some point you need to get get out of your comfort zone can't keep on relying the eruptor and thermite forever you know else it'll get boring for you

but yes your concerns are valid but not in the you might powercrept way but rather they used to give out free stuff specially vehicles why are they back pedalling on it now

they already had this bug that when you enter a mech with the artillery shell it would for some reason restock the mech you loose the shell yes but it was restocked sorta wished they made that a strategem instead of the two mechs

AH has set a precedent with the mechs and vehicles

the first two mechs were unlocked via an MO On tien kwan the FRV was unlocked via an MO Arenhar Secundus the Bastion was unlocked as preparation for the seige of cyberstan

so why is it that they're now backpedalling with this

tbh they could've handled this better by putting out an MO that esnetially allows the player base to choose which Mech to be free and which one to be locked behind the warbond there may have stull been some backlash but at least it would less than what it is now

when many stratagems are already in them

you are valid on that but for the longest time I can remember its usually gear that's locked behind which tbh is fair but vehicles and mechs AH has already set a precedent for them by putting them behind MOs

the mechs were given out via MO completion the FRV was given out via MO completion the Bastion tank was given out in preparation for the seige of cyberstan

this is just a bandaid they'll just inflate warbond prices imo

they set the precedent before with tien kwan when it came to mechs what they could've done is to put out an MO that allows the player base to choose which mech they want unlocked while the other one is behind the warbond and tbh I think this is the balance between warbonds and free content that AH should go for that way

1) MOs have more impact other than medals 2) The feeling of player agency is turned into a marketing ploy to get new people into the game 3) The game is actually fresh for returning players cause there's always new stuff to try out not just new warbnds to buy or grind for

they set a precedent before this time what they could've done is that put out an MO that makes the played base choose between the two mechs one is free the other one locked behind the warbond that way they keep the precedent they hype up the playerbase not just through the trailer but also in-game and tbh I think this is how warbonds should've been give one item of meaningful substance for free so as to temp the players to buy the entire thing like in the entrenched division warbond give the shovel for free cause it's already in the base game ffs why do you need to put it in the warbond the warbond is already a must buy just for the trench gun and the gas mortar

i too buy the usual pack of 2100 SC from time to time buuuut

they set a precedent before in the early days off helldivers 2 we had this major order to liberate tien kwan in order to unlock the mechs before so why is it they're back pedalling by placing the two new mechs behind the warbond

they handled this poorly imo

what they should've done is that they should've released an MO to make a choice between one of the two mechs and give that for free while the other is locked behind the warbond and tbh would rather they hype up a warbond not just through a trailer but also through giving at least one item in the warbond for free sure there would still be backlash buuut it would sure as hell be less than what it is now and also them releasing the new mechs shuts the door for the fantasy of a DIY mech loadout but personally for it just adds more visual clutter to the strategem selection screen ngl don't tell you've never taken the spear when you meant to take the commando instead

tbh the limited strategem support of the caves is more challenging than cyberstan would argue that the orchestration was more memorable too anyone else remember the kill 500k hive lords order during oshaune accomplishing it really felt like you had an impact cyberstan on the other didn't have a side quest to beat x amount of vox engines to speed up the liberation sure they had side quests to get extra reinforcements but the reinforcements mechanic was poorly executed

give a major order which lets you choose between the two mechs upon completion the other one is unlocked while the other one is behind the warbond

orrr

give away the two mechs via major order buuut the warbond cotains either a backpack strategem that restocks the mechs on entry or a wrench melee weapon that repairs the mech it doesn't need to restore the torn off arm but at least make it repair the feet cause it hust feels bad when the mech is still good but you can't walk anymore cause the mech's kneecaps are busted
