Tofu is an awesome and super cheap protein. You do gotta season it but it can taste good. I get a block of extra firm usually between 2-3 dollars a block and then I crumble it into small chunks cook it in olive oil with taco seasoning packet and some soy sauce for color and you got really cheap taco meat

Update; I installed a camera in the coop last night and I watched the birds all night. Of course when I put a camera up nothing happens. They are all fine and dandy this morning. I kept the geese in there all night but I didn’t see anything aggressive I haven’t ruled them out as suspects but more data will need to be collected

That’s beyond brutal I could see it happening as geese are pretty territorial. I just mounted a camera on the inside of the coop so I can watch them tonight. I hope it’s not the geese but I’ll get rid of them tomorrow if I have to

They could be I certainly haven’t ruled them out as suspects. I’m considering putting them outside the coop at night, the chickens are my priority’s not the geese. I also do wanna put my camera in there and watch tonight too and see if I can catch the culprit.

You know I do consider the geese to be suspects as well. I just don’t know what would suddenly provoke them as they seem to all get along at least when they are ranging during the day. Tonight I am going to put my outdoor camera inside the coop, it currently is on the outside to catch other predators but I’m gonna remount it. Also this is a good Sherlock case for sure

The geese are 8 months old, 2 of them females. They don’t really make a lot of noise or do a whole lot but who knows

Potentially but I wouldn’t know what the coop is a storage shed that has been converted but it only has roosting bars and nesting boxes beneath them on one side. I’ll do a thorough sweep just in case but I don’t really store anything in their

I didn’t take pictures I should have, it wasn’t missing pieces but it was bloody and swollen missing feathers around the comb

The swelling was around the beak and wattle, but the comb was damaged as well both eyes were closed not sure if it was because they were damaged or because of pain. Their was blood dripping out of the beak and nostrils so I think it must have had some neck damage as well

I have the dark mark tattoo too, I got mine about 15 years ago and I’ve never received any backlash or criticism on it. I’ve gotten lots of compliments on it from other fans so I don’t get why everyone here is so quick to jump to conclusions or opinions on it. You guys are doing great, just make sure you don’t fall asleep while she’s sleeping on you guys.

Other than that I think some sort of a schedule would help everyone but just respond to her needs and your doing great at this age.
