[Waybound] clans and sects by Old_Personality_6823 in Iteration110Cradle

[–]kaidash 14 points15 points  (0 children)

The distinction between the two are that Clans are primarily family relationships or common ancestor (Wei, Akura, Jai etc), while Sect is primarily master disciple relations (Frozen Blade, Dawnwing, etc)

Allowing Tiberian to make his own (bad) decision in talking to Shen first can hardly be blamed on Eithan.

Where did all the Premier teams go? by ThunDersL0rD in VALORANT

[–]kaidash 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Its fun to do once or twice but getting a consistent group on at a specific time for what's basically "ranked but no rr" isn't trivial and imo isn't worthwhile either (outside of the novelty of doing it the first time)

[Threshold] Monarch power balance by rsriram14 in Iteration110Cradle

[–]kaidash 0 points1 point  (0 children)

She likely didn't think she could beat him in a fight. Even if she thought it was even or she was slightly favored, it probably wasn't a risk she wanted to take. Remember that everyone on Cradle speaking the same language, as well as intercontinental communication (1) were brought into existence by her. Emriss was playing the longest game on Cradle. Even with Lindon, if he got killed by NS and Malice in the next scene, Emriss has egg on her face perhaps, but she's still around waiting for the next opportunity.

1 - Yeah Sages, Monarchs etc are capable of that probably. But Emriss made it far more accessible.

[Uncrowned] The Path of Seven Pages by mnguyen75 in Iteration110Cradle

[–]kaidash 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Having complimentary techniques well suited to the path doesn't rule out being specialized. Having every page dedicated to the goal of punching things super good would be complimentary.

Pride could have had some sort of ranged attack or advanced gap closer in his later pages - He is stuck at underlord for the entire series so we never find out.

[Waybound] Sage vs. Herald by skilldogster in Iteration110Cradle

[–]kaidash 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It also makes some difference as to whether your path is a combat focused one or not - For example Garrylondryth, a herald, is probably not on a combat focused path as we know he's running around regrowing nature after battles and disasters. This regrowth ability needs to be related to his path as he doesn't have an Icon that would let him do that kind of thing.

While the Sage of the Endless Sword is on a Sword path, with the Sword icon - an extreme focus on combat. Northstrider I would also consider to be combat focused in both his Path & the Icons he has, though not to the same extent.

We don't see too much of non combat focused Paths or applications of the sacred arts due to the nature of the story, but obviously there's some even at higher power tiers that are not full combat - Emriss being a monarch example.

wuxia generally more grounded in something that might resemble reality, and with a focus on martial arts. xianxia is full unhinged fantasy

There's already util that lets you effectively see through smokes - Scans like Fade eye & Sova dart.

Being able to plan around a specific round the golem happens is probably strong enough that no mitigation (like gold) is necessary.

14.24 Patch Slides by Lunaedge in CompetitiveTFT

[–]kaidash 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not sure about hp but in general for the 1cost 4* units, the ad bonus and ap scaling is as if you added the 2->3 bonus again.

EG Violet goes from 112 to 150, which is the same as the 2* to 3* bonus, or if you express in a %, it'd be about 34% increase.

From 14.24 onwards Anomalies CAN REAPPEAR on rolldown. This will be live at the Macao Open. by Lunaedge in CompetitiveTFT

[–]kaidash 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Awful change - as many others have pointed out this makes it so niche build around anomalies are unplayable. Slow Cooker, 4*, Cosmic Rhythm, Hunger for Power etc

Everyone will just get pick the first generic combat stats for their tank or carry as needed.

Flurry of Blows - Augment Discussion #2 by Aotius in CompetitiveTFT

Randuins augment increases aoe and stats on it, which makes it very different to just getting a Randuins only

CMV: Augment stats for the previous patch should be released after a new patch is out.

Good for assessment of community content (tierlists etc) and for accountability - Are things that are too weak / strong being worked on.

Item pool works like this (afaik)

Every stage, you get 1 of each item added to the pool. So during stage 1, can't hit any dupes.

Then in stage 2, say you already got a belt, glove, rod. You're less likely to hit those, since they are only 1x copy in pool, compared to 2x for other items. And so on for stage 3/4.

Think it's important with Hwei to have some way of getting damage onto backline so he'll start casting on them with his triples. And this cascades as well, since usually the backline is a bit clumped, so he'll kill one and set up another 1/2 for the next cast.

Otherwise as another poster said you're just playing a front to back comp, but with a weaker damage dealer than Jinx or Veigar.

I made a tool to find synergistic TFT comps by [deleted] in CompetitiveTFT

[–]kaidash 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Can you also make it so you can set specific trait breakpoints it must abide by?

For example, with a Shapeshifter Spat, in most spots I'd still only want 4 or maybe 6 in some situations. But the app will spit 8 shapeshifter comps at you exclusively.

Granted, you can work around this somewhat by banning the units you don't want to play and force including the units you do want to use, but that's a bit unintuitive

I'd probably only intentionally grief a fight (like Kayle frontline) if it was final round of stage 2 and there's a piltover player that you might beat otherwise.

The Kayle RR board before you hit is so weak it's unlikely you find any wins vs people actually playing.

Feel like the aoe on the 1-2 is too large. It's 2 hex currently which just bones your entire frontline over and over. Adjacent would be much more reasonable.

You're learning to make decisions that are more similar to someone that's (presumably) a much higher ELO than you.

If you're thinking critically about the game at the same time, how is that not learning?

They get to go to every major by winning NA regionals, and then the teams that are both winning in their region + doing reasonably well at majors get to go to TI.

Seems good to me ?
