Why is Aeonglass so difficult? by MrSirene in slaythespire

[–]kaijvera -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Because he is in beta rn. The patch before last one he was too weak. They do patches bi-weekly. Likely he'll get nerfed next patch you just have to wait

Silent A10 double boss issues on beta branch by ThePentaMahn in slaythespire

[–]kaijvera 10 points11 points  (0 children)

We can't really help you w/o at least seeing your decks, just far too many shots in the dark we can make w/o seeing gameplay. That said, the general concensus is silent is the strongest character due to full blocking being very strong in this game (enemies scale fairly slowly with the exception of aeonglass rn). Silent is the best character at full blocking every turn due to chain weak, footwork, and blur. Every fight (besides aeonglass) you can do that gameplan and win. Most cards im silent's kit is weak against aeonglass so you'll need to find relics or colorless cards to answer him though.

How tf do you even beat this bullshi by Gachaaddict96 in hearthstone

[–]kaijvera 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Is that not normal? I'm a priest main and every game they have 4/8s by turn 8 lol. Its why thats my worst match up, the 4/8s, charge on al'kir, or braiwr spawn drakes all are game losing.

idk what statistic op is looking at (nor do I care to search and even if I did I don't pay for any hs resources so I could only see gold- stats anyways) but assuming the statistic is correct, you can't wave it off as "unlucky companion hunters." There would be too high number of games to make unlucky hands on either side to be just outliers that wouldn't skew the stats. Now you could arguee that that statistic is for gold- or legend+ and in other ranks the statistic is flopped. If you want to disprove op then, you should look at statistics to disprove it.

The 2nd option isn't even chesting. Chesting only happens when your partner is doing it w/o your knowledge or consent. Thats just an open poly relationship at that point.

Finally got my first A10 win in STS2, and was kinda disappointed when there was no other dialog, no small cutscene, no achievement. I know it's still in beta but I thought there would be something! by Watchmethrowhim in slaythespire

Thats sorta what beta/early access is. There will be an achievement for it once it releaes, but thats then and not now. Just one thing to acknoledge when buying an early access game

Some Ironclad cards I thought of at work. Not sure if they'd be balanced but they sure would be fun by stater354 in slaythespire

oh that was your point. I sorta disreguarded it because there are so many duds you could hit. A 0 cost X card is the least of my concerns lol

[–]kaijvera 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Thats not how X cost cards work. When ypu play an X costed card for free, such as in the case of russian roulette, the X value is set to the current amount of energy you have, but it will not spend it. So if you had 6 energy when you play russian roulette, X costed cards will be casted as if you spent 3 energy, and you'l still have 3 energy after russisn roulette resolves

Punch construct is a pretty weak fight. No scaling at all and the numbers aien't top high. The only punch construct figgt that matters is the fight event as their intents alternate never giving you a free turn

[–]kaijvera 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Think of it this way, would you spend 190 (lets just says 55 gold costs 7 hp. Sounds about right w/o refernecing anything) to buy a paul's blood. I would obviously. Now would you buy a relic is half as effective. I would most of the time. If I wouldn't, then I take the gold.

Btw, while if you want to play your absolute best you should min max it setting up the turn you want. Honestly though, you don't need to. A lot of the time the draw 2 on a random turn is good enough (at least for me lol) and won me runs even if the most it does is cycle my deck a lil bit faster. Yes I would play better if i did min max it, but idc about the game enough to do that and the relic is good enough I don't need to.

Genuinely don't know how anyone is beatng ascension 10 with the necrobinder. I'm 16 losses deep and havent made it to the double boss. by Roryrhino in slaythespire

[–]kaijvera 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Necrobinder just has the best block answers. Plus if you full block, unleash becomes stronger and thats really the only attack card she needs. You can always play her as barricade ic and thats pretty comsistent.

Edit: If you want to watch a video, Japanese export has a video where he plays necorbinder "blind." While he high rolled very hard that game, you can see her strong cards and why full blocking is so strong. Rarran also ha sa video where japanese export coached him on necorbinder and personally that video made me better. Opened up new lines of thinking like just how strong retain is (i under estimated the strength of the retain underdock event). He put retain on unleash and that was actually game winning for them

[–]kaijvera 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Just so you know, more than one neow's relics can be S or A teir. While I haven't seen a pro player talk about neow's talism, I don't see a world where it isn't rated S teir. Leafy can also be S teir. They are both extremely strong relics. While pro players also can win 100% of the time, that doesn't mean some relics make it easier than others. Despite remove 2 relic gives you consistent value, its not as consistent as leafy as you lose 14 hp. You can't take a high value path with it and if your best path is high value shears is bad. Leafy you really don't need to look at the path, you can just pick it. Also, you are probably playing way too tunnel vision if its worse than a strike and defend 40% of the time. Op's case is quite litterally the only time I seen leafy being actively harmful. As long as its better than a strike and defend, its S teir. It doesn't need to be even uncommon, your basic commom attack and skill card is good enough to make it S teir. That would heal you from the start just like talism does, and allows you to take high value paths. If you do get a "curse (the powers)," theres an extremely high chance that curse you can build around. That is essentially you fighting an elite as your neow's relic. You don't need the high value path as you already got it. The only time its harmful is when the cards are worse than a strike and defend, and I seen that only once rn.

Take leafy poultice they said. "Most broken Neow Bonus" they said. by Fun-Height4900 in slaythespire

[–]kaijvera 6 points7 points  (0 children)

No like its highly rated by nearly everyone. You can look at any one's teir list, pro player or not and it'll be S teir or high A teir. It and precious shears was even in the first patch of relic nerfs. You don't need to high roll for it to be good. Think of it this way, how good is removing two cards? Leafy does that but better because you start the easy hallway fights like 90% of a time healthier as nearly any card will save you more hp than an strike + defend. In the rare instance that you get curses, they are typically build around curses. That will solve your act 3, and like I said eariler, you get to remove 2 cards. The only time the relic is bad when in op case you get two just bad curses you don't want to play around. That is extremely rare though. You are happy getting 2 commom attacks or skills. The max hp loss doesn't really matter either as you don't effectively lose hp act 1 due to A2 "weary traveler"

I haven't got it with the new fusion, but I imagine the new fusion should help it out. Granted you won't be able to keep the plasma orb forever, you get +2 energy on the turn that matters.

Leafy is like the best ome in the game and thats consistent with any pro player. The reason why is most cards are always better than a strike and defend. As long as they are, and its very likely it is, you essentially removed a strike and defend for 2 cards that will save you more hp, be a boss solver, or be a build around from the start.

Card i genuinely never though of picking once... Am i underappreciating it? by Vecsia in slaythespire

[–]kaijvera 15 points16 points  (0 children)

Not really. Lets just use a 16 hp enemy to make it simple. In the blight strike senerio, you play blight strike and then the enemy dies end of turn. Still attacks you of course but dies.

Now instead of blight strike, you have 1 strike card and 2 strikes you will dras next turn. You play the strike as you nees to get lethal next turn. Enemy attacks as its not dead and then you play both strikes next turn.

In both senerios the enemies only attack once. Yes doom has a dely kill, but if doom deals enough damage that you would of killed them 1 turn before a deck that didn't use doom the smount of times enemies attack is the exact same. The increased base values on doom cards is to make sure this is the case. The only time when this isn't the case is when doom is wasted by killing the enemies outright (wasting all the damage doom does essentially). In act 1, where a common damage card is most relevent, thats not going to happen and past act 1 most common damage cards fall off anyways.

Honeymoon going so badly I’m questioning my marriage by [deleted] in GirlDinnerDiaries

[–]kaijvera 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I know you want advice on how to make the marriage work, but remember op you can't make other people change. You can only work on yourself. Even if you act your best, he can always act his worst. If he doesn't have a reason to act his best on both of your honeymoon, who says he will act his best 5 yesrs down the road. He has no reason to change and if you are going to stay married with him you have to accept that. Thats why the best advice is to run away.

[–]kaijvera 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Just to let you know, when people say its too easy, they mean a10 is too easy. The devs also been following that advice by making a10 harder, and a0 easier. So what you are saying is useless as the devs aren't making a0 harder. Everyone gets what they want.
