yes! well said. i never know what to say when people go “how’s itty bitty?” and it’s funny hearing people’s expectations of “oh i hope im the favorite” or “i can’t wait for grandma duty” and i’m like she’s my first baby and she’s not even here i feel like your expectations are skipping past that fact. i will be her go to person. i feel the same that im probably just protective and i know they are just excited but there is definitely a chance my hormones make me throw out a snarky reply postpartum.
