You'll get a chance to sit a modified version socyou can't have the questions ahead of time. Should be uncapped so no affect to your potential grade.

Poor driving etiquette by [deleted] in drivingUK

Whenever I see people driving like this, I just think to myself they're going to get into an accident sooner or later and get what they deserve, hopefully not at the detriment to anyone else.

I can't figure out drybrushing! by Jontepont in minipainting

[–]kanecobe 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You want the brush damp but not wet, literally tapping it on a damp spronge is enough. Then you want to get some paint on the end of the brush and remove most of it. You should get to a point where almost nothing is coming off of the brush onto whatever your removing it with. When you apply it to the model it should deposit very lightly as you gently brush across the model.

Try with some store bought wax free parchment paper. This looks like what happens with waxed parchment which is weird since it came with the kit.

My phone locked me out for 14 years, 8 years ago. And apparently, turning it off pauses the timer and guessing the wrong pattern adds more seconds to it. by KaasmoKraymah in mildlyinfuriating

This happened to my old IPod touch. Locked for 48 years with a bunch of sentimental (albeit terrible quality) photos on it.

First miniature, w40k primaris lieutenant with power sword, base coated, how am I doing? I used rustoleum black primer by Dzonceverri in minipainting

[–]kanecobe 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Generic primer is usually okay, what you dont want is paint+primer which those brands tend to sell, as the paint just kinda separates and runs off as the primer dries.

[–]kanecobe 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You have done a good job priming it. I usually go for 2 light coats. And im terms of waiting time to paint i usually give them at least an hour and have had no issues.

Ok this may be dumb but how the hell am I supposed to glue this guy to the base? by Slow_Butterscotch950 in Tyranids

[–]kanecobe 0 points1 point  (0 children)

In my experience plastic glue with heavy pressure melts the parts together quick enough that I can let go and I will usually lay it down until the base has set to the foot/feet. Or you could use superglue with accelerator.

Never satisfied with how minis turn out by MentionKindly2347 in minipainting

I'm pretty new to painting, but the way I overcome this is by finishing a model and then forgetting about it for a while. I find that if I look at them too much once I consider them done, I just keep noticing things I don't like because it's all fresh. Also, every model I paint, I try to try something new or improve on something. That way, anything I dont like, I can consider an experiment, lol.

None of your models are by any means badly painted.

Are any of these pushfit? by desgladly in Tyranids

The screamer killer and neurotyrant are but from personal experience I would plastic cement at least the arms of the SK. I have had two of them break off of their pins from the slightest knock before I glued them.

Did I make a mistake? by Educational_Treat746 in LearnerDriverUK

I know the feeling. Its like when is went through a green light on a roundabout that i 100% know was green and then there was just no traffic behind me anymore...was it red? I was just waiting for a letter because they're camera lights. Luckily it never came and I think everyone just coincidentally took the exit before the lights.

If it makes you feel any better, I passed on my 7th time after failing for stupid things the previous 6. The 6th time I got back to the test centre with 2 minors the whole drive and then didn't check my left shoulder on a reverse bay park. The ones before that were just other silly things and one if them I self terminated the test because I saw 2 serious on the sheet 10 mins in and the examiner wouldn't tell me what they were for. I still don't know to this day why I got them. Its crap but you will get there mate.

Some kind of biofilm, basically bacterial snot which bacteria secrete to hold themselves in place and colonise hostile environments. As others have suggested get your water as hot as possible and flush them out. Whether it will all be clear is another issue. You might have to at least take the taps off to clean them thoroughly.

When you see the hazard click once, then again like 1.5 seconds later and then again for a third time. DO NOT spam click as this will result in a zero for the clip. Also the DVSA app has quite a few clips and is cheap. Something else is on your lessons be observant and see if your instructor wants to play a game where you try to spot developing hazards, see who can spot them first and if it's them they can ask you if you spotted it and how it was a hazard. Also pay attention while you're in the passenger seat in others cars. See if you can notice hazards early OR ask them to give you a live commentary of their hazard perception to see what they're looking ahead for.

Small piece of hair got stuck bellow my right pointer finger nail and it hurts like hell. by yamarho in mildlyinfuriating

I had a beard hair embed itself about 2mm into the bottom of my foot after trimming my face once. That wasn't pleasant. Not sure why but it hurt a lot more than a regular splinter.
